Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

yes, photocopy the original documents and have a notary public notarize the said documents. I requested the certificate of good standing from PRC and informed that them that it was for mailing directly to AHPRA. There is an option in the form wherein you will tick if you're applying for RN or EN

im confused between EN and RN, but it i think i should tick RN.am I correct?(based on definition of Aphra)

when is the best time (in the course of processing of one's application) to approach prc regarding that certificate of good standing?

thanks again...

Someone here in the forum inquired with La trobe and according to them next intake will be on June. Anyway, you can double check to be sure. I also want to enroll in La trobe but June is a very long wait for me.

Hi..I just received a reply from La Trobe and it's confirmed that their next available intake will be in May 2013. As there are some issues discussed in this forum which are still in dispute about requesting for BP extension, I have sent an inquiry to APHRA VIC for further confirmation.

God willing, I'm planning to lodge my application soon at LTU for May 2013 intake and my LOE is expiring in July 2013. Let's keep in our prayers that APHRA VIC will be considerate about our concerns. God bless us!

Enrolled nurse (EN) is a licensed vocational nurse who practices under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

You can request anytime for your Certificate of Good Standing from PRC. In my case, I was told to wait for about one week for the issuance of the said document. When I received it, I requested them to send it to APHRA VIC. Usually, it would take 10-15 days for PRC document to reach APHRA even via Express Mail (just based on my experience).

Help! It's almost 6months and still waiting for my loe. ahpra keeps on assigning different case officers handling my application. Current email said it's under assessment yet 4months before, i already received it's for final assessment. anyone experienced d same.?ugh! Hope i would be lucky just like everyone else here

Which state did you send your application? I had mine processed in APHRA VIC and it was pretty quick.. just more than 2 weeks.

Hi guys :) I am weighing my options between ihna melbourne feb 2013 intake and acfe? I already have my offer letter from ihnawherein i have until aug16 to pay the enrolment fee while i will still have to undergo the skype interview of acfe on the 19th .If given the chance which would you choose? Do i have to settle with ihna, provided i already have my offer letter but will take longer, which is 6mons from now before the bp starts or take my chances on acfe wherein there's a possibility that i would be accepted into their october 2012(tentative) or jan 2013 intake, with the addtl pressure of the upcoming skype interview? Both schools have a tf of aud$12500... Thanks in advance :) can someone enlighten me on this :)

Did ACFE inform you they will be having an october intake? because in their website they didn't post it :)

My case officer replied to my email and she told me that she will organise a letter of extension for me for three months. As easy as that. Regarding your concer, she said that she will bring it to the attention of her manager.

I just passed my online exam at IHNA. What's going to happen next? Does this mean i don't have to undergo phone interview anymore? According to the generic email i received just now, they will contact me for further details. Anybody who enrolled at IHNA help me please? Thanks

Hey micaella26.

My LOE will also be expiring next year, August 2013. Since you said you're planning to take the May 2013 intake, you're going to be finishing the program sometime in August. So your LOE would've been expired by then. Would you still be considered for registration by AHPRA even if your LOE is already expired because the LOE is ONLY for the bridging program? Or do you still need a valid LOE to be considered for registration after the bridging program?

Deakin and LTU were the schools that I had in mind but both are already full for the Jan 2013 intake. I haven't tried CON yet but i'm pretty sure it is too. Their intake after this year, according to their app form, starts February.

please give some advice:

There are 3 schools that have the validity of until September 30, 2012.. is there anyone here applied or bound for intakes after september 30, 2012? Do you think that accreditation will be approved later on? what will happen if you take the intake and the school will be accredited after the commencement of your intake> Can you still register to ahpra.???3 schools are IHNA, ACFE AND ETEA...

for those going for ihna, acfe, and etea.. when is your intake after the said validity of september 30. 2012.. will the accreditation be approved before your intake?? give some advice

Guys,

ahpra's reply:

Dear Ms Perez

As per numerous previous emails no extensions are given to bridging course eligibility letters. You have not and will not be granted an extension on expiry date, you have until the 5th December 2012 to successfully complete a board approved bridging program.

Please take note of your ahpra's expiry date.
