Anyways, how much hospital experience do you have? --> Not much! I have 4 months volunteer experience last 2010, and then took a break because of personal reasons. Right now I am volunteering at a different hospital since May 2012, and I'll end around November - December this year. Also, what school are you eyeing to go to? And when do you plan to leave? --> I am not sure, TBH. I am eyeing Deakin as it is not exactly far from my mother's place. If everything will work as planned, I would like to leave on January next year. What's your Facebook account? Maybe I can add you up. Hi guys, I am now searching for potential BP providers. In the meantime I am planning to gather my immunization documents but I don't know where to start. My mother lost my baby book, so I have absolutely no evidence of immunization. What should I do? Thanks in advance!

You're welcome. :-) I don't think there is any issue, because they have streamlined the process now. So you can apply at any AHPRA office and go to school at another state. :-) It's just the common feedback I got from applicants who lodged in WA...that their application is kind of slow compared to VIC. Either way, I think your application will depend on how complete your documents are...so good luck. Have you completed them yet?:-)

I would go for AHPRA in Victoria, got my LOE in about a month :)

Yes I think it's quite normal, because they will just e-mail you if they require additional documents. Some applicants here even had to wait for more than a month.

I (c/o mother) lodged my application at AHPRA-VIC last 28 June 2012. I just received my letter today, 31 July 2012. I have to say I didn't expect such a swift response from them. I didn't hire the services of an agency/consultancy firm, because I decided to cut costs and apply by myself. Indeed, I spent so much time, money and effort to complete the documents. It wasn't a joke gathering, requesting, photocopying and certifying the requirements! I honestly thought that AHPRA will still request for more documents, but thank goodness I got through the entire process without question. I know this is just the start but I'm so grateful to my family for supporting my plans, to the forumers here in allnurses.com for giving advice, and of course to God for giving me this wonderful, wonderful blessing! :)

Yikes, where did you get this info? Does it tell when it will take effect?
