Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

World Registration

Hey, thanks for the review materials.

XFactor? I have heard, though honestly speaking I never had the chance to watch the tellie between work and managing other affairs but I am happy that she won.

Weather we choose to believe AHPRA or not wouldn't matter now but hey, the UK nurses got somewhere after all the wait and pressure applied and in our case (and India), they actually released a statement.

For the purpose of immigration, the validity of the language proficiency is 3 years so not much to worry there. I got good resluts from my previous attempt but still, with the IELTS we'll never really know (got 6.5 writing in my first attempt in Tagaytay, got 7.5 here at Deakin -- a bit too far for consistency). I'm eyeing tye OET as I find the drills quite interesting.

@official02 when did you submit your application?:)

Hi anyone here received their LOE's? I sent an email to my RO in NSW,but unfortunately I couldn't send it to my RO'S email add. It says failure to deliver to recipient. I haven't heard from him for two months already. Any encounter like this? Or would AHPRA assign us a new registration officer?

my IELTS expired before I started the BP but that was okay with my RO. Just make sure you finish the BP and be done with the registration before your 1-year LOE expires coz then you'll have to apply for a new one and pay the fees again. Also, based on my experience, keep your lease agreements on the address you stayed at while you had your BP, Australian bank statements containing your australian address, BP school ID. Along with the passport biopage and other docs (visa grant, passport entry/depart stamp page etc) your RO will require, you will need notarized copies of these docs to prove your identity to your RO and that you did complete your BP. You can actually hand them over at the AHPRA Melb or Syd office like what some of my Filipino compatriots did...In a few short months the wait will be worth it and you'll be finished with the registration process faster than you can spell B-P.

Hi. May I ask since referral to BP means refusal of registration, will AHPRA automatically send back the registration fee?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Better to check with them yourself but I understood the fees to be none refundable

Not in my experience,

They will keep your registration fee (this is the only part of your application that is refundable). You then have 1 year to complete a BP. In my case I was asked to write a letter to withdraw my previous application (LoE issued, could not do BP, extension refused) then the refund was processes.

I re-applied on March 2014
