Anyhow, that's what they do, basically that affect us in practical terms .

This has more to do. With hundreds? Of uk nurses stuck who migrated to aus in the last year or so, and still not registered by Ahpra. Bec they have diploma level education which falls under aqf-5-6. It's unfair Bec they got caught off guard by the changes and obviously still unemployed.

they will probably make exceptions which is fair enough i think

just to share, i've read this new media release from the AHPRA website a while ago.

Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Media release

UK nurses in Australia really shook AHPRA. They went online, bombarding AHPRA with tweets. They voiced this out with newspapers. Emailed every single higher AHPRA officers they know. Called out help through radio stations, made interviews with AHPRA. They really showed people power and in an instant after that radio interview, AHPRA issued that on their website.

Great action from them. I think they will get what they are fighting for.

i hope that they really have to make considerations to be fair enough. I knew for sure that these will take a month or months... i am clueless about the system of AHPRA these days... Godbless us! :)

I just received an email from my Registration Officer today informing me that my application has now progressed to NSW from QLD (3 loooooong months in QLD without any update). After 2 months of web inquiries and follow ups, finally I already have a Registration Officer.

Then, after 5 hours of her initial email, she send another email informing me that all IQNM requirements are complete and ready for assesment.

Now, the longer wait is on...

God bless us all!

Hi guys. Im new to this site. I've been reading some of the topics regarding registration of Filipino registered nurses. But it got me more confused and lost on how, where i should start. I worked in singapore as enrolled nurse for 1 year and 10 months. I only had volunteered work experience so i fell on enrolled nurse category. Long story short, we are now relocated here in Adelaide as my husband is doing his fellowship in RAH. He is on 457 visa and im on dependent. Can you guys please guide me on how to start, i basically know that i should be assessed by ANMAC. I will greatly appreciate any advice.

My email [email protected]. Pls anyone, shoot me an email, if its not too much. TIA

The best advice I can give you is read on the websites Ahpra and anmac. U may want to focus on Ahpra as you don't seem to have enough exp for anmac, and you don't need it unless you want to apply independently for a perm visa.. Also with all the things going on, you may have a better shot at applying as an EN.

I thought so too. Just that, working as an EN again makes me feel dejected as its obviously a downgrade. So i would want to know all the chances i may have. We just came here in SA for barely a month. Back to square one, and its just too stressful. Im initially more willing to take ARNTP than BP (thats if im deemed qualified to do so) because of PR and outright registration. Which anmac criteria do you think i wont fit ordoghaz? Thanks btw :)

You don't have exp.. From the counties listed as an RN. And you don't need it unless you want to be the principal applicant for residency and your husband the dependent. Philippine degree isn't equivalent to an aus degree unless you did an adaptation from anmacs point of view, which you will know on the website too. Read and understand as much as you can on your own, so no one can mislead you

You need to be educated as an enrolled nurse and qualified to practice as an enrolled nurse in your country of education. The Philippines does not recognize practical/enrolled/division 2 nursing so this may be an issue.
