Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Why withdraw? What happened to your LOE?Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
Hi @marklouiemarco,I overlooked your previous question.. I was offered Feb intake in IHNA. Yeah! That was exactly my reaction to AHPRA. Why do I have to withdraw.. I also dont understand. I would badly need an extension because I will still be on the bridging program when my LOE expiration happens. And AHPRA (Vic) are so strict about it. :(
There was a threat that if I enroll at a later intake, my registration will not be finalized and I will not be granted a license. Believe me, a case officer from VIC is not someone you want to deal with. As ms so and so said, it is not AHPRA's responsibility to ensure that there is available bp school placement for every overseas applicant or that every applicant gets a placement before the LOE expires, as in my case. Too bad VIC case officers are not as kind and considerate to overseas applicants as NSW case officers are..
Hi @stereo,I am having the same thoughts and experience to AHPRA Vic officers. How were you able to handle your case? I am trying to "humbly beg" them one for time for extension, if not, I will ask if I can have my registration docs passed to another state. Actually, when I asked them for the first time for extension of LOE, after they told me to withdraw and re apply again, I asked her if IT IS REALLY PROHIBITED in all STATE, she never replied back to me which gave me the idea that silence means I still have the chance to ask if I can have my docs pulled out from them. :(

if you pull out your documents and transfer it to another state, will you pay another application fee and assessment fee?

Yes from NSW. Let me clarify that with my case officerSent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
@marklouiemarco, I am not sure if @Stereo got the same message, but this is what the case officer from Vic sent me.."*You would need to send in writing that you wish to withdraw your current application and this will be passed on to your registration Officer. You would need to supply all documents and fees again and will be assessed under the current standards. If your COGS is still current we will keep this on file."

First, I am not sure @chelseaxyrene if its possible. Second, I dont mind paying re-assesement fee/transfer of docs. I just don't want to go over Vic's policy of withdrawing my registration application which means my LOE now will be useless and I wont be able to have a slot for a Bridging Program at any school. Even after offering AHPRA Vic's proof that you were really enrolled for the intake before LOE expires, they are really strict on saying "NO".

Anyone here for IHNA January 7 in melbourne?:)

Hi everyone....I'm in a state of panic. I just tried to go through my topics in e-learning but the IHNA website shows "You can not enroll yourself in this course" . I havent completed all my e-learning course and still have plenty to complete. Has it happened to somebody? What can be the reason that I am being refused from access to the course? Guys please help:bluecry1: Is it mandatory that we have to finish e-learning within a fixed time and can not access again and again when we havent finished it?? By the way, I am scheduled for October 8 intake at perth and I was availed of e-learning entry from june 2012.. Please help somebody....

that happened to me too. :) just try logging in again.. if it still does not work, then e-mail ihna and they will fix it for you :)

thANKs for the reply...

may i ask again,

>if im going to submit my application in aphra tasmania(due to less applicants in that state), will it be possible for me to take my BP in victoria/melbourne or it will be limited to schools in tasmania?

>regarding CATEGORIES ABCD (proof of identity), is there a need for me to pass a separate letter that i cannot provide any documents in that category?

> and how about question 29 in aphra agos 40 form: about migration agent?(is IDP can be considered?) or significant other (if i have any relative in aus?)...what if i dont have any of the 2?

thank you so much...

Hi @patringrn,My problem is AHPRA told me to withdraw my application first and then apply again. Actually, I dont really see the point of withdrawing and then repeating the process of registration all over. haisst.. :( I will also be waiting for Ahpra's email.. And I will try to seek for earlier course of intake. Thanks.

TO ALL OTHERS HAVING EXTENSION PROBLEMS with the vic branch of AHPRA

This is correctness gone mad.

If an applicant from overseas applied through Queensland AHPRA office can demand, after a few phone calls, an extension of over 6 months  at the Queensland office of AHPRA and get it and someone else can get an extension at NSW for a few weeks , then an applicant applied through Victoria can get an extension of 1 month:nono:

Do not bother with case officers, given them lots of talk that you can see their point of view but you would like the advice of the top dog.....email or write URGENT CONFIDENTIAL to ******do not post names of personnel per site ToS******NMBA at Canberra office and explain your problem do not delay.

ALL AHPRA offices should be working from the same page and not all these different regulations. You have nothing to loose, I am a shareholder in this too.

That's right it seems that officers in victoria are quite strict and should not be like that. Their rules and regulations should be synced no matter which state you applied in.
