Hi - could you please advise which BP course you end up doing as your letter stated:internationally qualified nurses / enrolled nurses/midwives
and NO option for Registered Nurse-BP. does that mean your qualification was assessed for enrolled nurse/midwife or opted for this.
" the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) receives evidence of your successful completion of a NMBA approved bridging course for internationally qualified nurses / enrolled nurses/midwives, your application for registration will be progressed if you meet all of the registration standards at that time. You can access the NMBA Registration Standards and guidelines via the NMBA website""
thanking in anticipation and looking forward for your reply.
Hello there fellow nurses. I have a problem with regard to the AHPRA requirements. It is about the accreditation body here in the Philippines. I have submitted most of my requirements and it is the only thing that I lack. I asked my school about it and they said they're not yet accredited (they claimed that they are in progress of the accreditation thingy). The school is Perpetual Help College of Manila. I find it really frustrating and funny at the same time because I already finished my studies with them years ago and they are still in business when it comes to nursing. How come they aren't accredited yet? Can anyone help me where to get/go for this requirement. Thank you very much! I have been reading most of the comments and threads here and I think someone can help.
hi there @Mattskiematt!
Did you make it clear to them what kind of accreditation they were telling you about? It may not yet be accredited by PAASCU or other accreditation bodies, but your Nursing School would not get to operate for several years already if it is not accredited by CHED.
There a lot of posts in this thread regarding your query. I advise that you take your time to read the posts.
Hope this works! :) Best of luck to all of us here!
Yes, I did ask them. I even asked if they were accredited by CHED. Sad to say the registrar department doesn't know. I was the third person who requested the certification and they showed me a copy of the first two. It is printed on one of the fields about the accreditation body as "in progress" which I cannot accept. I was arguing with them but to no avail.
Thank you very much everyone. I believe that my school is CHED accredited. Otherwise, they won't be able to operate (wishful thinking). Anyways, thanks again. Everyone here is really helpful.
Obviously, the people from your school have no knowledge about their own institution. You should have told them to let you talk to someone who has knowledge. It's annoying.
Just like the other poster said, go on your own to CHED and bring certified copies of Diploma, TOR, RLE and AHPRA pro forma letter and your own request letter. Its a generic thing to them, they call it CAV. The branding happens with the pro forma letter of AHPRA.
