Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

Hello Majai:) I am sorry but we cannot tell the names of our CO's. I knew about it because of this site as well and a school that I am interested in contacted me that month to let me contact my CO about my papers. After that no news about the release of LOE's.

What I'm asking is HOW DID YOU COME TO KNOW WHO your CO is... I'm not asking WHO they are.

Please do not post names on the website

I guess my question was misunderstood... I'm not asking for names... I'm asking HOW you came to know who the Case officer is..

Oh I am sorry Majai, I came to know who my CO when they received all the papers of all criterias. She verified some infos about me and she keeps me posted.

Okay. thanks for that info! I just received an email that they received my documents. But they have not acknowledge receipt of my IQNM.

As I've said before, don't expect too much that AHPRA will waive the bridging program requirement for most overseas nurses.

What will happen if they didn't waive the bridging program?

@pastelle! thanks sorry for the late reply. I have been waiting for 7 months now, I received an email last month from my registration officer asking for an extension of 90 days. :)

@maine1987 we're on the same boat i submitted mine december , completed the iqnms march and still waiting, I received a letter from ahpra regarding the extension for another 90 days. how's your application so far?

hi there everyone! i'm not sure what to put on my AHPRA CV as clinical and procedural skills. Are these the actual competencies that we do n the area? please enlighten me. thanks in advance!

Hi elcee. We have the same situation also. may i ask if you are still currently employed as a nurse in a hospital? thank you

Hey elcee, my application was said to be under assessment specifically the school i graduated from, that was the last update my CO gave me on the last week of June and my 1st letter of extension will end on July 23. Oh let's pray harder for it to come the soonest!:)

Please enlighten me.

Do we really need at least 3-2 years nurse working experience to be approved by AHPRA to undergo IRON program?

As what i have read in the AHPRA and schools offering iron program...they didn't include in their requirements that we need to have atleast 3-2 years nurse working experience.

if it is posted in a website, can you please send me a link here: [email protected]

i want to see it for myself that experience is really needed.

but i understand that longer working experience means more advantage of getting an employer and get a working visa.

I think this is helpful for nurses who are searching for schools offering iron program.

Latest (2014) approved universities/schools who offer IRON program.

The list is from APHRA.

Please add if i forgot to include a school.
