Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Published

hi guys! i processed the accreditation letter from ched in just one day. i asked the director of OPS who is in charge of the ahpra letter and she told me that there is no need to get accreditation letter from pacucoa, paascu or any accrediting agency. a letter from ched is enough as they are the one who monitors and evaluates the schools. let me tell you the step by step process in getting the accreditation letter from ched. first of all, get an endorsement letter from your school stating that the you graduated from the said institution. for ust graduates, get that endorsement letter from the registrar which is located at ust main building,2nd floor in front of the accounting department. just show them the letter and they already know what to do with that. after you get the endorsement leter from your school, go to ched and bring the certified true copies of your diploma and tor. go to 3rd floor of ched ncr,OPS department and look for ********. she is the one who is in charge of that letter,if someone else assisted you, dont listen to them because this is what happened to me. i was assisted by a different person and she just told me to leave my documents with them and to come back after 1 week. luckily, ******** heard our conversation regarding the ahpra letter and she told me to just wait for the letter as she will just type it right away and ask their director to sign it. i got the letter that i needed in less than an hour. by the way,if you feel lost inside the ched building, just tell the guards that youre there for accreditation letter needed for ahpra and they will instruct you to go to OPS office at 3rd floor. hope this helps

cheapest would be through Philippine Post. But if you want to keep track of your package, then go for Air 21, FedEx, or LBC.

thanks imamnomad!

Hi guys,

I have been haunting this thread for quiet awhile now, hoping to arm myself with as much information as possible.

I FINALLY received a correspondence from my APHRA case officer regarding additional documents to fulfill criterion 2,3 and 8.

CRITERION 2

This part is fairly straightforward my school has to provide certificates of accreditation in my school its AACUP. I already spoke with my registrar about this and she said she can provide me with this certificates etc. all i have to do is provide photocopies of my TOR, RLE etc..

would I still need a certificate from CHED do you think?

Criterion 3

Now this on the other hand I am a bit confused. would I need to go to PRC, or CHED??? or Both?

Since PRC-BON is the nursing regulatory agency, and CHED also works hand in hand with PRC BON that the quality of nursing education is on par with international nursing standards. I already spoke with the one in charge in CHED regarding this. They said they can give me a certificate.

CRITERION 8

Here I have no problems

or would it be ok to certificates from all 3? PRC-BON/CHED/ PLUS SCHOOL? I on this point dont think of the cost anymore. it just gives me a headache.

I hope someone can help me on this. you can email me at [email protected]

criterion 2 and 8 must be provided by the school where you finished your nursing degree. criterion 3 requires a letter coming from CHED ONLY. this is what my friend did, she received her loe last week.
