Hi! Is anyone having trouble keeping their personal statement to 2 pages? I'm a little over 2.5 pages, and I'm concerned about the "ability to follow instructions" part of the prompt ?  Anyone have any idea how important a concise under 2 page statement is? Should I just let it go?

Follow the instructions!

I don't want to stress anyone out more but just so you know and aren't stress wondering I figured I would share...... I went to an info session a week or two ago and they mentioned they had about 1700 started applications where they usually have 800 or 900. That doesn't mean all of them will be completed before the deadline though! So I would assume they're just starting to review the applications early because of the influx. I figured this was probably r/t COVID since its happening with a lot of graduate programs but I was surprised to see it for nursing just because the prerequisites aren't usually something you can complete in only a couple months.

Kinda kicking myself for not getting my *** together earlier, but oh well.

1700?!?!?!

oh man I have been preparing my application since last year and even flew to NYC in Jan for the Open House. Now suddenly I am competing with 1700 applicants!? ? I was already pretty stressed out

In those 1700 applicants are those who are pursuing nursing for the wrong reasons. Their passion won't show in their essays or within the whole application. That is how I see it now. Admissions will know who is really In it for the right reasons and who isn't. We will shine in our essays and I hold on to that faith !

Hi ! Is anyone applying to the PhD program ?

When you guys were filling out the Professional Affiliations and then the Interests, hobbies, etc did you guys put the same things? Like I do not know what to put in the "List any hobbies or activities that you have participated in" area.

Is this like activities such as tennis, music, photography? or activities I have participated in at school?

Sorry one more question! When I do the timed video, do I have to do the timed essay at the same time? Or can I do one part and come back to do the second part later?

First for the timed writing, you can do that part first then go back and do the video essay. Because the timed writing section is first, that’s what I did but I still need to go back and do the video essay. And for the list any hobbies or activities section, I listed both. I listed a couple activities I participated in at school since it wasn’t a lot and also listed my own personal hobbies and what not.

Hey guys!

Sorry if this was already answered––do we all have the same video essay prompt? If so/not, what are some examples? Also, we only have 60 seconds to answer the question, is that right?

In the addendum, are you guys addressing the W’s on your transcript or just lower grades?
