So basically they give you 12 minutes. 2 minutes to think about your response to the random generated question and 10 minutes to type it out. There’s not a requirement on how long it has to be, they just want to see how we go about answering the question and what ideas we come up with. It's not too bad once you actually do it. No the timed writing is not recorded it is only timed. I am nervous too ! Thats why I keep putting off the video essay but we can’t stall anymore ? also good luck to you too !!

@Gmilitar I hope your semester is going well!

I was just wondering for the video essay, did you take a few seconds to introduce yourself before answering the prompt? Or did you just jump in to talking about your obstacle?

How did you guys list out your activities/interests/etc. on the resume portion?  

 

I'm so nervous because I'm still waiting on a recommendation... and I asked them in July ?

Im waiting on a recommendation too ?. & for the resume portion, I listed it in bullet points with just a brief explanation. For example, one of my activities/interests is hiking. So I put where I went hiking for one of the bullet points.

So on the actual portal did you just list out like (e.g. hiking, painting, running, etc.) or did you also write out a brief explanation

I literally listed out a brief explanation too, even though its a small space. Because I had emailed admissions about it and they told me that both should basically say the same thing. ??‍♀️

I was supposed to do mine today but I keep putting it off ???‍♀️ . They give us such a short time so I think we just jump into talking about our obstacle, since they know who we are by our application. I would just say hello really quick then start talking about it.
