I declined my offer due to the cost of the program and because it was online. If I knew we had the option way earlier to defer for 2022 I would’ve really thought about it ? because by then classes would be in person and I would get the full experience of the school and NYC. It sucks they didn’t offer that earlier. But it would be worth it knowing thats a guaranteed acceptance for next cohort plus in person classes !

Oh yeah absolutely, everyone have the right to make their own decision! I just think it’s good to be aware of the cost increase because for many people additional $4-5K can be a lot (even tho CUSON is $$$$)

That’s too bad ? , CUSON really sucks with their communication effort. But maybe you should try to discuss this with the admission? Cause they didn’t tell us this until like today

Would someone mind either posting the email you received today or summarizing it for those of use in round two.  Thank you in advance

It was an email that was sent to accepted students about deferring to 2022 if they may need. Because its been a question admissions has been getting lately and they decided to make it possible and allow those who are already accepted to defer. They would have to pay $500 to hold their spot for next year and they have until this Friday to do so.

Ooo okay. Cool! I am just hopeful that I’ll get the acceptance on Friday.

Same here, I am also in the second rounds! This is information I got from some people I know that were in the first rounds ?  they have until 12pm eastern time. So hopefully we get something at 1pm ?

Did they say classes would be entirely virtual? Or that labs and clinical would be in person and lecture online in a hybrid way? Can anyone answer this? Personally, if it’s entirely virtual then that might be something for me to consider my second school over CUSOM. Thanks in advance!

From all the info sessions I've been in, they said classes will be online. And clinicals and labs will be in person. Things may change later on though.

That wasn’t enough for me to pick up and move to NY ☹️ Hopefully things go back to normal soon. I may do my DNP in the future and try again with Columbia.

I think lectures for the first semester are online bc of the large class sizes, but after that they said it will mostly be in person

I was told just the other day that it will be virtual. Only clinicals and sim labs will be in person like once or twice a week. They don’t know when they will be back to in person learning. I think the 2022 cohort will be back in person.
