From previous years I think the average cohort was between 200-260 people. Given that the fb group now has 120+ people joint, and including those who accepted the offer but havent joint that group yet, round 1 acceptances should be around 150-180 people. That leaves the spots for round 2 to be around 50-100. Note that they often give out more offers than spots, so I think 70-130 or 140 acceptances will be given out in round 2. As they mentioned in their email that the number of applicants increased over 30%, that means that there should be around 800-1000 applicants this year. (Given acceptance rates of 25-35% from previous years) This year’s acceptance would be around 20% or so. Fingers crossed. If not, I am stuck with my econometrics and stats major at least for this year... ?

Thank you! ? I'm just wondering how many people are left waiting for 2nd round decisions ? Cause from what I know, they also sent out rejections and maybe waitlists in the 1st round.

im really hoping they at least sent out half of their decisions LMAO but maybe not since it’s taking them so long to release the second round?

I keep thinking about this ? I felt like they had a whole cohort already with the amount of decisions they sent out in the first rounds. But admissions did tell me that the second round will have spots and “balance out” with the first rounds.

I feel like that’s a nice way of saying “we will fill in the rest of the cohort with people from the second round” ???

When I asked admissions right after the first round was released, they said there would still be “seats available” for the second round. I don’t think they split the applications in half. This feels like a waitlist situation to fill in some spaces created by declines + maybe some reserved spots. Andddd it’s looking like next week...yeesh.
