To anyone out there....
I had planned to apply for Fall 2018 but I will be finishing my pre reqs on May 1,2018. The exact deadline to apply for Fall. Is anyone in a similar situation? Do you think I should apply anyways?

It took me 3+ hours and even though the testing room was full, I didn't see anyone else apply. However, my testing time average was 72%.I only applied to MDC as well. Other schools are extremely expensive and in the end we all take the same test. I need to get a scholarship to be able to afford this. As hard as it will be, I'm confident everything will work out in the end.
I was there in the afternoon, we must have seen each other but everyone seemed anxious or at least I was. I was sitting in the big table with a few other guys and a couple of girls by the reception desk. The room was full with maybe like two dozen people. I was frustrated how long they made us wait and then have people arrive at the last minute but I digress. You may be right about a 72% average and if you took three hours and did not see anyone else, it confirms my suspicion.
About affordability, I am right there with you. I know I could get accepted elsewhere but cannot afford it. Personally, I will be on a payment plan and have read that many scholarships are available but reimburse you instead of arriving before or during the semester. Since you applied on the same date, do you think it is an issue or a problem that we applied so late? The adviser said it did not matter but I worry that I get left out even if I have a good score because of them not getting to us.
Hi Fgreen28;
It does not matter if you applied on the last day.
I applied last day for the fall semester (May-1) and I got accepted in the first wave of emails.
and there is a 95 seats for every option (as per the advisers). I am sure that people over 80 composite score will get accepted.
With regards to school choice; I'd also rather go to a private school (NOVA or UM or FIU) those school are very organized and pass rate are outstanding.
However, I can not afford those school, I could through loans but not. I got accepted into NOVA program for fall too and I postponed my registration for January 2019. (I have it on hold on, in case something happen with my application in MDC, you never know).

It was crowded that day and I was worried I wouldn't be able to apply if it got late. Which program did you apply to?
