MDC Nursing Spring 2019

Updated:   Published

To anyone out there....

I had planned to apply for Fall 2018 but I will be finishing my pre reqs on May 1,2018. The exact deadline to apply for Fall. Is anyone in a similar situation? Do you think I should apply anyways?

This is torture, waiting for more than a month to know if we will be accepted or not(hesi 90, GPA 3.7). They receive so many applications, so I guess that's the reason. The advisor informed me that the transitioal nursing program is less competitive. Anyway, I'm going to apply to Broward, which I'm dreading because I won't be able to work(the program is more intense), but the cost is cheap and their passing rate is in the 90s. Last choice will be a private institution, so I'm starting to study for the Kaplan. Of course, everyone say I will get accepted, but I've seen the testing room and they have been full. Then again I'll stay positive, I did start reading Saunders in anticipation. I wish I was taking a class or something to keep me distracted lol. Praying for us to get accepted.

Did you apply into the bridge option ?

Yes, and adn program as well.

Do you know the schedule (time) for the programs (Generic Full and Part Time)?

It varies with each semester, and you can pick the times for your classes, so it's not a set schedule

That's interesting! I thought it would be more like a cohort with a set schedule. At least that's how it was when I did Opticianry

Here's a text from my coworker who graduated last year

"Which one are you doing generic or bridge? I did generic first semester I went school twice a week full day and 1 clinical. You got be flexible cause sometimes your clinicals can be on the weekends."

Hello Srazuri;

Log in into your evolve account -https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/.

Then look for "My evolve" (top right)

Once you there, you should have something that reads "View your back-ordered items"

Right below that you have "HESI Assessment Student Access"

You click and it shall take you to your test results and the class results.

The class average is not an overall score, you have to make your own counting.

Actually my class score was 72.43 and not 74... so that mean my class did really bad.

e.g;

My Class scores are:

Biology 68

Chemistry 66

Math 76

Gramar 75

A&P 70

Reading 77

vocabulary 75

Class Average 72.43

I did the test August-13

Is that the average for the day or for the year?

Thanks!

I took my hesi test may 23 and the class average was 74.14

Also, I took the hesi again on July 30 was 72.42.

It should be from the group of students that took the test with me.
