To anyone out there....

I had planned to apply for Fall 2018 but I will be finishing my pre reqs on May 1,2018. The exact deadline to apply for Fall. Is anyone in a similar situation? Do you think I should apply anyways?

I took the Hesi exam for the second time today and it seemed harder. Is it me or is there anybody else that feels the same?

I took it yesterday and I felt that it was pretty hard. It was my first time. But I have hard that it's always harder the 2nd time around. Not sure how true that is.

@shireenk7 for me it was hard too. I felt the book helped me a little bit not a lot. I spoke to different students in the nursing program at the medical campus, most of them just used the review book solely, some used the book and the pocket prep or a few people said they didn't study at all. If I could do it again I would use different HESI guides, the pocket prep app, the pocket prep notes, my old science books and the online Hesi practice tests. Remember everybody is different. I have heard it was hard and some said it was easy elementary stuff. If anyone haven't taken the test, don't scare yourself listening to other people. Just gather all your material, study really hard, be confident and take the test. Oh yeah don't forget to pray!(you don't have to if you don't want to.)

I took the HESI on the 28th. Imagine we are all done with the exam by now as the cut off is September 3rd. I did not think the HESI was difficult in terms of reading, math, vocabulary and anatomy but bombed chemistry and biology. I managed an 83% and have a 4.0. I am hoping that is enough for either generic or accelerated. Admissions did not have proof of my Bachelors which I think it is something that any one who has sent them transcripts should follow up to make sure they have all the necessary transcripts.

@Doo-T how long ago did you apply for exemption for the hsc003 class? I applied on Monday. Hoping the process it ASAP to pay the $15 been checking my email constantly for the approval

@FutureNurse1919 Yes, waiting to at least start Microbiology in the Spring to take the test. I am really enjoying the pocket prep app. I've not used the paid version, but considering it. I wonder if it's much different from the free.

@shireenk7 Yes, I am liking the idea of the apps, since I can pretty much open them anytime I have a free moment. It's not the 1st time I hear that about the Hesi book.

@Grisso Use the paid version or find someone who has the paid version and you can sign in on their account so you could do the daily questions and the 10 question practice exams. That's what I did.

The App was very helpful and it provides immediate feedback with an explanation. It is well worth the $15.

I was given two different answers from two advisors. One said 2-9 weeks and the other said mid October. From looking at other forums it looks like mid October is accurate.

@LeoBSN They usually send them out mid October.

Hello, I just graduated this past August with my AA in Pre-Nursing from MDC. I took the HESI on June 30th, and I got an 84.57. I have a 3.8 science GPA so my composite score should be an 88.7. From what I've heard they should be sending the acceptance emails the 3rd week of October so between the 15-19 I believe. Have you guys applied anywhere else? I'm applying to Nova this week, and I looked into Keiser but wasn't too happy with some of the stuff they make you go through in the application process. Good luck to all of you!
