Hi,
I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.
When I was first accepted and paid my $100 deposit, I was not able to be registered, because the classes were not available, once you go to orientation they will give you a list of all the classes you will be taking and their reference numbers and they will tell you a specific day that registration will be open. What has happened to a classmate of ours was that she registered earlier than all of us... because the advisor registered her for another nursing program. Make sure your friend is aware of the program that she registered.
As for the clinic, I believe they will stop seeing students and ask for you to come back another day because they are closed. Best time is right when they open. If the line is too long, you guys can go to the Miami Rescue Mission just down the road and get your stuff done there if you'd like, I'm not sure about the lines there though.
DPortal (or anyone else) what was your experience this week when you went back to read ppd at the clinic at the medical campus? Were you just in and out? I can't imagine sitting and waiting just to have that read. I only have an hour tomorrow to go and I won't be able to get there as soon as they open. I really hope it won't be an all day affair. Fingers crossed.
Omg you started January 2016? I have sum friends in that group. I actually planned on PA school but im doing this AO program instead. Idk my passion has always been PA so im sure this nursing program will be too easy. Im going to be a nurse anesthetist maybe or an ICU ARNP. Probably work at Jackson right after and stuff. I guess my question for you is, how easy is this program??

I'm going to try to get there at 930 but it all depends on traffic. If you get there shortly after, maybe you can come wherever I am in line. My email is [email protected], if this is of any help to you. I also don't want to be there forever. Have you gone before or is this your first time?

Thanks jessmarieb, I already went but I have to go back to read the ppd. We will have to make at least 4 trips there. If you can try to get there a little earlier than 9.30am that would be even better for you. Unfortunately I wont be able to go that early tomorrow.

No problem! We have to go 4 times over the span of the 2 weeks? How long did it take the first time?
