MDC Nursing Spring 2017

Published

Hi,

I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.

This is what mine says, for Generic-Full-Time Homestead Campus.

MANDATORY campus and nursing orientation Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Medical Campus, room 1175.

Look into groupme, it's a good app for your classroom to communicate with each other in case anyone has a question.

hey guys I'm curious did anyone get accepted to the Generic full time that has a science GPA of 3.5 or lower

Robthesofty said his gpa was a 3.2...

Does everyone have the same deadlines? It'd be kind of unfair for those of us that will receive emails in the second or third batch (whenever this may be) to have to rush and try to do everything before Nov 1st and Nov 17 while the people that got their emails in first batch had a little more extra time to prepare

I am going to try to get the money for the deposit now so that as soon as I get the email I can go pay and reserve my spot.

*edit* yeah I think I saw 1 or 2 people with a GPA a little under 3.2 get accepted in this thread. I think we have a good chance of getting accepted because we had good HESI scores!

Yeah, that's what I received. I'm assuming it's different depending on what campus and which program you applied for. I'm heading to Med. Campus on Monday to submit my deposit.

Nov 17 is for the generic Fulltime! AO is Dec something....

Is yours for the Generic FT at Medical campus?

Everyone seems to have a different orientation date, depending on their program. I was accepted into the Online Bridge, and mine will be on November 29th. I already went to the medical campus, and reserved my spot with the acceptance fee. I also already set up my appointment for the background check and fingerprinting. I will have to shop around a bit for the health record because I have insurance, and some people are saying it helps to have insurance and others have said insurance usually doesn't cover those services. I suggest everyone who has a choice between programs goes and turns in their acceptance forms, as I'm pretty sure once the rejected programs open up, those second batches will be sent out right away. Some people here are about to go insane waiting for their emails!

I was going insane waiting and i got through on the first batch so I can imagine everyone else, which is why i made sure to go accept my space and decline the other right away!

Congratulations! I do wonder if the 345 from the MDC Wellness Clinic is a better option than running it through insurance.

Kathy004,

That's awesome. Can't wait to meet you. I'm getting my fingerprints done today and I'm heading over to Medical campus on Monday to pay the $100 and hopefully get the health records taken care of too.

Will you be doing the CPR class on 10/29?

Update: My insurance is covered by my employer and some immunizations are covered but since the employer didn't request the immunizations then none of it is covered. Basically, the health screening will come out cheapest at MDC.
