MDC Nursing Spring 2017

Published

Hi,

I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.

Yeah I think the selection is completely random. That is a good score, so you should be in and hopefully I am too in the next batch of emails! Just hate waiting :nailbiting: I want to know so bad lol

I'm gonna go to the campus tomorrow and see what's up..I don't get this whole batches process ..I'll let you know what I find out

So has everyone seen the list of things to do. Like deposit before November 1 and then my orientation is on November 17. We have to have vaccines, fingerprints, CPR, before November 17. I checked out the clinic package is $345 o_O

What does the clinic package include? And how much is the deposit $$?

$345 sounds pricey!

The deposit is $100 and the $345 clinic package includes everything we need for the vaccines, etc. The link in the acceptance email , gives you the list of everything we have to do. The deadline is soon!

Yes getting into nursing school is expensive lol. I still think the 345 is the cheapest options.

There's a CPR class for next Saturday the 29th, its 79.00 at MDC but at least I know it meets all the qualifications.

I went yesterday to hold my seat, apparently you should waste no time accepting your seat because if you dont, you might end up having online classes etc etc. Its a whole process but you have to make sure you print out your acceptance form and fill that out, then go to bursers office and pay, then go down to admissions and they will put that in then system to reserve your spot. If you applied to more than one program they do ask for the acceptance form declining your acceotance of that program and i assume that opens more spaces in the other programs which could result in why they actually do this in batches. Good luck for all who are still waiting, i thing you all still have a shot and just try not to worry. See you guys at orientation on Nov 17. I am going to the Medical Campus.

Hey FutureRNDO,

Is Nov. 17 the orientation for AO or Generic?

If you have a CPR card, make sure MDC accepts it, they only accept the American Heart Association issued CPR/BLS card.

Yes it's a little pricey. But I think the best thing to do is to do it through the school. I did my drug test through my Dr. and in the end Miami Dade did not accept it so I ended up spending more money to do it through MDC.
