So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.
So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.
Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!
To all our MDC nursing veterans lie AllyWill and MiamiE ...how strict are the professors in regards to textbook editions? Especially small things like medical encyclopedia can we get a previous edition? Truly how many new medical definitions can they add in a year?[/quote']It really depends on the professor. For funds and intro to pharmacology some people got the previous edition and did just fine. But for med surg and pharm 2 I've heard the professors say something to students who had the previous edition. I would think an earlier version of the medical dictionary would be fine too, it's more for your own reference anyway. But the drug guide you should definitely get the latest because that one does change often.

I have a question! I already had my hepatitis B vaccine when I was 14. Do we need to run titers for Hep B as well or I could just show my shot record for this vaccine.
@lizipanther you can bring the documentation of the hep b vaccine.. Everything else you need titers for.. Also have the doctor fill out the hep b dates on the health forms ..
I registered for the CPR class this Friday 11/8/2013 it says that the CPR book is required and they don't have it on the bookstore. Anybody here on my same situation?
I signed up for that day too! I already have my book though, maybe they'll let us share. Either way, another student posted this like two weeks ago, so I think you'll be fine! (:
"FYI: I did the CPR/BLS class today at the MDC medical campus. Although I bought the required book, a lot of students didn't because they said the book store ran out of copies. As a result, the teacher let them stay in the class and we proceeded without EVER using the book."
I'm finally done with everything, this thursday or friday will be turning all of that in. I go to the advisors to turn it in or somewhere else? Another question is for those who have financial aid, I received and email sept or beginning of october telling me to register for classes that I had financial aid etc ... But it doesn't say an estimate of how much money they are giving for the semester like it used to before. You think they dropped my financial aid just because I didn't take classes this fall or will it show by the end of december? I just want to know that financial aid will kick in once I pick nursing classes. Anybody knows about this? Plz
