So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.
So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.
Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!
Hi everyone so I've been lurking around this sites for quite some time now and I finally decided to join. I turned my application in today for the spring 2014 term. My gpa is 4.0 and teas 63 giving me a overall score of 77.8. I applied to both full time and part time option. Hopefully I can get in with this score. I can wait for October to come around. I hope we all get in. Good luck to everyone :)
From reading entries from those that were accepted in previous semesters, I really think your score is good enough! Lets hope because mine is very close to yours :)
Hi everyone, I am also anxiously awaiting acceptance or rejections from MDC for spring 2014. I applied for the generic and accelerated program. My scores are; TEAS- 77.3 GPA- 4.0. I wish I could get a better idea of how everyone scored so I could see my chances. I've been trying to start a thread just for scores, but can't really figure out this sight. Anyway, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I'm hoping to see all of you in class next semester

Even if you could get a thread going on just scores it would not reflect the whole applicant pool. Honestly the scores on All Nurses may be inflated. We are the type of people that took the extra step to find nursing online communities, stress about the outcome etc. Unfortunately even the advisors at MDC can't seem to give us an avg competitive score.
You can apply to pretty much any hospital as a volunteer. The experience you gain does help you grow personally and professionally. I have family members who volunteered at Memorial West and Cleveland Clinic so getting a job there after graduating was a breeze. Volunteering also help them become very comfortable in a hospital setting and helped build a great relationship with the staff there. I also know people who volunteered at the hospital and they are not pursing a degree within the medical field. So either way it can be very beneficial in the long run.

Does anyone know how many applicants applied for each track? I keep hearing it's easier to get in during the Spring because of fewer total applications. Just 6 more weeks till some of us find out!
