Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks.
So today is May 1st. 10:26 AM I put that because it always says I'm replying and it's like 1 AM lol.
Anyway I just spoke to an advisor at the front desk where you actually bring in your application to the medical campus for nursing and I asked when is it that we would be receiving our acceptance letters so they said we would be receiving a notice anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks after May 1 and they stop sending emails mid July.
Thanks for everyone's reply. And thank you for the congrats!! I have Another question. Seeing as most of you said end of may and June... even July... would mark the time of issuing acceptance letters, is there a boot camp course? I heard and I thought it was from the advisor that there's like a mini class before the actual semester starts to somewhat give you a glimpse of what to expect for the duration of the program. But with you all saying acceptance letters are as early as the end of may and as late as July... doesn't seem like enough time to do a mini boot camp. Does anyone know of this, heard of this, has clarity on this? I've asked the school of nursing office but they told me to call back next week. I'm guessing the advisors are out or something.

They did do that a couple of years ago, but I haven't heard of it for this round of applications. When I applied the advisor didn't mention anything to me about a boot camp.
I actually spoke with the Director there because there was an issue with my application, which I actually got to turn in thank God. I was about to have a meltdown there. She said that they are no longer doing the boot camp, and that they just forgot to correct it on the form that we sign.

I'm so glad the semester is over. Applying for the fall part time program. HESI: 81.79 science gpa: 3.33. These scores aren't that good but it depends on the application pool. Don't think it matters to the application but I also have a bachelors from fiu.
I hope I get in, and meet some of you. Stay positive no matter what.
