  1. For anyone that works at a hospital or any place that blood was drawn for pre employment get your titer records through your workplace to submit to complio. Saves you a few bucks and blood drawn lol
  2. I did. I'm happy they offer the opportunity for it to be waived. Did not want to pay another $200+ for a pre req class.
  3. Anyone know the approximate cost of the program including classes, books, uniforms, and etc.? I will be coming out of pocket as well 😩
  4. If you google paramount training there's a location in fort Laud that offers cpr class for $50.
  5. I got an 88 on the HESI and 3.6 gpa. Crossing my fingers for the accelerated option!
  6. Does anyone know of an extension for the deadline? I didn't know the exemption for HSC0003 would take two weeks and I applied 10 days before. The advisor said that would be the only thing holding up my application.
  7. I primarily used the HESI A2 Pocket Prep app ($12, I think). Just did a few questions every other day leading up to the exam. Got a 88.86%. Here are SOME things if I remember correctly on my exam... Math 96%: A lot of ratios, fractions, decimals, percents, conversions, and measurements. Some algebra, word problems and of course general math. Biology 92%: Cell components of plant and animal. Mitosis and meiosis. Cell transport systems. Basic bio terms and topics. Chemistry 84%: Chemistry is not one of my strongest subjects but again basic stuff you learn in high school/ early college. Atoms and what they are made up of, acid and bases, type of bonds, basic periodic table concepts. A&P 80%: Know general topics about every body system. Parts and simple general functions. For example… parts of the brain: Cerebrum- movement and sensory input cerebellum- muscular coordination occipital lobe- vision Make it as simple as possible. My problem area was the hormones and what glands they are released from. My lowest scored section was A&P because I just didn't know how to fully prepare for such a broad subject at the time and I had the class 5 years ago. Grammar 88%, vocab 90% and reading comp 92% were all topics I used the app to review. For grammar the app was helpful review as I haven't touched parts of a sentence (pronoun, noun, predicate) in years. Again this is just stuff I remember, not everything so take it with a grain of salt!
  8. One reason I'm applying for the AO is I'm concerned they may have a multitude of applicants for the generic FT program.
  9. Hey! Yeah I took the HESI and got a 88%. My science GPA, if I calculated right, is 3.6.
  10. I see a bunch of dates were added this week. Thanks!
  11. Hey everyone I'm applying to the AO for this Fall. I want to take the HESI asap but I don't see any available options to register. Anyone know what's going on?
