MDC Nursing Fall 2017

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks. :laugh:

The advisor told me that you should start checking your mdc email 4 weeks after the deadline.

I retook my hesi yesterday!!!! 96.56!! 🎉🎉🎉 And GPA 4.0

3.2 gpa with 74 hesi score, im so disappointing in myself.

I retook my Hesi today. I scored a 91.7 this time around. I got an A in Micro and Intro to Health Care. I'm just waiting on my grade in DEP 2000. My science GPA is officially a 4.0. The advisor said acceptance emails will be sent out in June. I'm so happy this semester is over!!

Hi im julie. First time applicant. 3.0 gpa. 88 on my hesi. Wanted to verify the expected time frame for acceptance letters. I was told in the advisement office to look in my email during the first two weeks of May. Anyone else with some confirmation on this? I could be wrong. I vaguely remember the exact time frame given because I applied months ago.

Really? That's the earliest I've heard. They told me to expect feedback around June.

Congrats on passing the Hesi, was the test the same when you retook it or was it harder?

Congrats! I was told to start checking in June, but it can be mid-June to early July.

I'm not sure if this question was for me or osc25387, but I'll respond. In my opinion, the second time was harder than the first time I took it. I didn't study much the first time, but still passed. Most of the science questions were more random and specific the second time. My reading score dropped 4 points. I previously had a 96 now it's a 92. I significantly improved my math score by increasing my study time. The level of difficulty was about the same. I had a lot of word problems, some fractions, fill-in response type questions, and a few ratios. I scored a 90 on this section the second time. The math section was the main reason I decided to retake the Hesi.

I spoke to an advisor today. She told me 2-3 weeks after May 1st, I should start checking my email every other day.
