MDC Nursing Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for applicants of the nursing program at Miami Dade College for Fall term 2017. I'm currently working on my last prerequisites and will be finished this semester. I plan on taking the HESI A2 in January and applying for the Generic and Part time tracks.

Hi guys just took my HESI today and got a 96%!!! Woohoo I was a nervous wreck. Also, Science GPA currently a 4.0. I'm hopeful I'll get in with these grades/score..How strict are they on the accelerated option as opposed to general? Is it worth it? Anything else I should know?

Holy cow!! Congrats!! You will definitely get in! What campus are you trying to go for?

Homestead because of traffic lol I'm literally across the street from the Kendall campus too bad I can't take my classes there..Yes the HESI wasn't as difficult as I thought. The AP portion had some offshoot questions that I had never studied before, scored a 92 on it but you can generate some good educated guesses though.

Is there a difference between the campuses?

Today I applied at the medical bldg. So far 😫..Do both campuses request you or just where you applied?

The campus is assigned by closest address

Hello. I just took my hesi yesterday and scored a 90%. I have submitted my application for fall 2017 and i am currently taking my last pre req. Science gpa 3.5. Hoping to get into the fall 2017 transitional full time online program

I was told I'd get in easily I don't see why you shouldn't either. Nice score and GPA!

what are the chances of someone getting in with a 77% on the hesi and a 3.4 gpa? has anyone heard of it?

It depends on the application pool, but there have been people with less accepted into he program.

I'm just curious – Does anyone know how many seats are available for each program option?

Sheylla94, the course is a little fast pace, but if you keep up with the readings, it's easy to manage. I got an A on the midterm. I was so surprised it was a 90 question exam.

Hey everyone, I am currently studying to take the hesi this week. Does anyone know the schedule for the Full-time generic program? Because I am playing to work part-time while in the program.

If you look at the MDC nursing website you will see which classes you need to take for full-time. I think first semester is a full boat 18 credits and working part time might be tough. I'll also be working part time though...
