  1. If anyone is looking for a part time job while in the nursing program 16-24 hours a week in the Tamarac area, message me. It's detox/mental health. Day time, Overnights, and weekend positions available. Flexible with school schedule. You must hold a current LPN license.
  2. I did. By now you should know if you were accepted. Did you get into the program?
  3. If you search the classes you can actually see whats available for fall already.
  4. Keep your head up, positive thoughts only. Have you tried to retake the Hesi to get a higher composite score?
  5. O jeeze, I called today too and an adviser told be to start checking my email daily 3 weeks from now!
  6. Full time. Transitional bridge over here
  7. You go!!! I have been an LPN for 10 years already. I got into nursing to do pediatrics and after doing the rotation, i changed my mind. I couldn't stop crying. I love kids and my heart is just too soft for it. I worked at UM for 2 years and started my pre-reqs back then and my nurse manager was such a witch, She wouldn't give me half a day to go to school. I worked 4 days a week 10 + hours and also on fridays to help out OT and because I was cheaper than getting agency she gave me a hard time. I ended up quitting but I missed a semester and just didn't go back until I had my son last year. For the last 8+ years I have been in the field of drug addiction. 6 years in detox and almost 3 years in rehab. I'm currently the nurse manager at the rehab, and I absolutely love my job. I've been working alongside the ARNP there and decided that I want to become a psych ARNP ultimately. I plan on doing the DNP so I have a long way to go. When I'm done I'll be 36. Lol. Not too shabby. In reference to acceptance letters. I checked the previous year 2016 forum. First acceptance letter went out on June 9th. So I set a countdown to start checking my emails daily on June 6th.
  8. This was my plan originally. I do much better learning on my own. My best friend started the bridge spring. I was doing my micro class and would sit in on her study groups and several of the students had friends in the online class that regretted taking it and failed out. Supposedly there is less guidance and more work. Also you don't have the ability to fight for questions on tests and earn extra credit points. I honestly don't like classroom settings. We shall see.
  9. SMH. It's sad a lot of places don't really help you when you are trying to go back to school. I'm considering switching to weekends only when I start. I currently work in the mornings from 8-430. The only other shifts there are overnight 12-830a, afternoon 4p-1230a, and weekends 9-530p or 4-1230a. I am considering doing the morning shifts on the weekends while i can. I signed up with nrsng to review pharm and med surge. I wish I would've found this website sooner. They break everything down much simpler than nursing school did. Don't think i need much of a review in fundamentals. I am just Ready to get the show on the road. then finish my prereqs for the BSN, finish that and then go to FIU ARNP program.
  10. Anyone planning on working while in school?
  11. based on this my cumulative score is 91.7. hope i get in for fall. I originally wanted to do online, but my best friend talked me into face to face. So we'll be together this fall God willing
