@ sheeco: hey .. well class starts tuesday so hopefully i like them.. and 10 am almost 11 am.. and fridays i have my clinical at west gables, i finish at 2:30 pm on fridays

Do you live near the gables or do they just give you any place? I have been reading the ATI book in-between school breaks. What is the panel interview about? Do you get to register online or with the adviser? Good Luck tomorrow!:nurse:

Well they give u from where to pick .. Gables is close to me so I picked it .. Which interview are you referring to? The Baptist scholarship interview? And u can register online once you've been admitted to the program and submitted all of ur paperwork. And thank you!! I'm exited about tomorrow :)

Hi again,

Right now I am reading the ATI book where it talks about the thermometer and I never knew how to read one till I started reading this book. There's actual questions about this?

Hi I have really been enjoying this thread! I am hoping to get into the RN generic tract this fall at the medical campus , I have a 4.0 gpa and just took the TEAS and scored an 84 overall...do you all think I can get in? I am thinking about maybe taking the teas again cause if I did really bad in the grammar section which really brought down my score but I am also dreading the thought of spending another 50 dollars and sitting through that again...

Marah, with a 4.0 GPA and an 84% you are in there like swimwear!!! Not sure if I want to take mine yet... The website showed that it was only available until 1/26... On my practice I typically score around the 90s or upper 80s... I think I should just register and take that thing already... I have a 3.73 for MDC... just need to take the TEAS... Nice job Marah!!

I looked online and yea it's true it's only till the 26... They will add more dates won't they?

Shamanai thanks for the encouragment! If you have been scoring in the upper 80's and 90's on the practice tests then you will do great on the real exam! I scored in the mid 70's on my practice tests and then got an 84 on the real thing, which I thought was MUCH easier than the practice tests. I am thinking that I am going to try to take it again and improve on my grammar section...but I am going to wait a few months since I am taking five classes this semester and I want to do well at the get go so I am not so stressed towards the end of the semester =) I do believe they will be putting up more dates to take the test once the dates up there have passed...dont worry! =) If you feel like you are ready though I would just go ahead and take it...I almost cancelled my appointment because I was so nervous but I am glad I didn't because I ended up doing pretty well =) also dont forget you have two chances to take it so the first one is not do or die...you just have to leave a month in between when your tries are so make sure you dont wait too close to the application deadline! We should start a thread for people applying for the Fall 11' class...I dont think I can start a new thread yet because I am new to allnurses but this is such a great resource! if someone sets one up I will definantly be an active reader and participant! Good luck everyone in your semester and the TEAS exam!

Marah: I am now in the MDC nursing program at Baptist and I scored an 82% on my TEAS. My GPA overall was 3.06 but I think they only count your science GPA, which I'm not exactly sure about mine. Anyway, I wanted to encourage you to apply with the score you have because it is a great score! When I took the TEAS, most people were in the 60-70s in % so getting in the 80s is good. Just wanted to help out :)

I wouldnt be able to tell you that, since i didnt attend the interview.. im sorry =/.. but im pretty sure they won't ask questions like that.. ive heard they ask questions as if you were in a job interview, cuz if you get accepted you would have a 2 yr contract working for them after you graduate. But if you are referring to the ATI test when applying to the program, just study everything you can. The science portion is kind of annoying, review microbiology and earth science stuff like that. If you keep doing what your doing then you will be just fine. Good Luck with everything. And sorry for taking long to respond =)
