MDC new requirements Spring 2011

Is anyone here going for Mami Dade College ASN program for Spring 2011. they have new requirements, TEAS test and gpa based SOLELY on natural science gpa

the science gpa will be all anatomy, micro lecture, and chem lect + lab. wanted to know what the applicant pool numbers were looking like!

Specializes in Emergency Care, Med-Surg, Orthopedics.

I had a call from Baptist hospital and had me for the panel interview on Thursday. Has anyone had applied for the scholarship and got the same call?

I have the panel interview this afternoon at 330. I wish you the best tomorrow with the interview, don't be nervous! No matter how it goes down, you are STILL in the nursing program which was a big success in itself.

guys i have a question for the required texts on the sheet that they gave at orientation.. in the first section it says:

Semester 1: NUR1025 & 1025L Fundamentals & NUR 1002 & 1002L

We dont have to take the last 2 classes written (NUR1002 or NUR1002L) but do we still have to buy all of the books in that section?

I think you do because when you register for the classes and than you go to "view books" on the current students page, all of the books are there for the classes you registered. All of the ones on that yellow paper they gave us are seen under "view books" I hope this helps.

guys i have another question for all of you starting on jan., the prof. sent me an e-mail about what we should be reading but none of those books are the ones that they told us to buy, anyone know if theyre the same books but the professor wrote it with a different name? or which books might they be? this is the e-mail she sent us... thank you.

1. Socialization in nursing – Chapters 1-8.

2. The nursing process – Chapters 15-19.

Those might be the titles of the chapters? Try looking through the books but if no luck, email the professor that sent it to you.

Nope I didn't get to pick them I had TBA on all my classes until about 2 weeks ago and I go to class everyday except Thursday all the other day I leave school around 10 except Fridays which is when I have my clinical until 2:30 but that class doesn't start till Feb.

How do you like your professors so far? You leave at 10 pm or 10am? Where is your clinical?:confused:

@ sheeco: hey .. well class starts tuesday so hopefully i like them.. and 10 am almost 11 am.. and fridays i have my clinical at west gables, i finish at 2:30 pm on fridays
