It's never too early to start the discussion....
Anyone else preparing to apply to the Nursing program at MDC by May 1, for a Fall 2021 start date? Which tracks? TEAS test plans?

I'm preparing to apply by May 1st. I've been trying to find out the time schedule differences in the part-time or full-time programs to make a decision.
So far I have only been able to tell that class for part time is afternoons. 6-8p and Saturdays 10a-2p.
Do you know how many hours a week it is to go full-time?
Looks like it's about 15hr of in-class time in full-time track for first semester, including the fundamentals lab 1x a week for 8 hours, starting at 7AM
Great! Thanks. Is this info posted anywhere?
Also, I’ll be taking my TEAS in January.

I just went by the course listing for Spring semester. The times might change a little, but the length of the classes should not...
I'm going to take my first TEAS in early March I think.

Hello! I'm planning on applying for generic full time or part time. Does anyone know when it's the last day to take the TEAS? I want to give myself 30 days in between incase I don't get the score that I want.

(Haven't taken it yet, so just suggesting) I read that sometimes it can take a few days for your score to show up, so I wouldn't take the second one later than a week before May 1... I plan to take mine around March 1 and then if I have to, I'll have time to take it again in April.... hope that helps

Hi all! I'm planning on applying to the generic full time option at MDC. I want to take my TEAS mid February since I'm only going to be taking HSC0003/lab. Does anyone know how soon can we schedule our exam? Their testing website seems to be a little outdated so I cannot find much information.
I will be taking Intro to Health this Spring but upon checking on MDC's preq. I no longer see it as a requirement. Not for ASN or BSN. Did you all take it already, or will be taking it?
I just checked now and Intro to Health is still listed as a requirement for the ASN. I will be taking it this Spring, it's the only preq I'm missing.

I don't see it. ?
Can you send me your link?

Why are others taking HSC2400. The end goal is BSN. I'm so confused and it's hard to reach an advisor.

That's the right link. You can see HSC003/0003L listed right below Microbiology. The HSC2400 class is to get your CPR card which we need for nursing school. You can choose to take the course somewhere else, it does not have to be with MDC. It's a matter of preference. But just make sure the card says American Heart Association.
