MDC FALL 2022

I don't see a post stated for the nursing program for fall 2022.  Who all will be applying in fall, and will it be full-time, part-time?  Did you take your TEAS?

I am! But I'm trying to decide between accelerated program or the general full time program. What do you think?

If you can handle it I would definitely go for it.  For me I can't because I have to work a little.  So, for me I will do full-time generic as my 1st choice and part time as my 2nd choice.  Did you apply for both, or not yet?

I haven't applied yet because I'm finishing my last pre-reqs this semester. Have you taken the exam yet? I was previously trying to decide whether to do my nursing program at MDC or Broward College. I liked that MDC has an accelerated option but im trying to gather more information on it.

I did last Summer.  I would apply to both just in case then decide. You can certainly browse from the students that applied to MDC Spring 2022 and fall 2021 and ask questions about it there.

When did u start your prerequisites if you don't mind me asking?

So I actually have a B.S. in Biology that I got august 2021... I was on the pre-med track and recently decided it wasn't for me. So I'm diving into nursing and I am registered for third term this semester to finish anatomy 2 and Microbiology which I hadn't done previously. So I'm trying to gather and finish those two pre reqs in order to take the entry exam needed and then I can apply. So I'm trying to finish everything quickly in order to apply and go into the FALL 2022 program.

Congratulations of your BSN in Biology.  I believe you can do it.  Apply.  I strongly believe you can do accelerated. There is also a chat for MDC that you can go on and ask all of your questions during working hours and sat mornings also.

Like a chat with students or? Im new to MDC I transferred over in order to finish my pre-reqs for the program so im not aware of stuff like this yet hahah

I use it because I am a student.  But I am sure u can call MDC medical campus and ask them too.  I got a lot of my answers from email and the chat during the day.  You can go onto Miami Dade College website, scroll to the very bottom of the page and you will see where u can contact them.

Hi! Will be applying to the accelerated and full-time options soon. I am finishing my last pre-req and have already taken the TEAS. Good luck to all!

That’s amazing! Congrats on finishing up and getting ready to apply! How was the TEAS if you don’t mind me asking? I’m going to take it soon, what did you use to study?

Thanks, congrats to you also for completing your B.S. and only having 2 pre-reqs to go! I took the TEAS without studying and found it to be easier than expected. My score is just OK but when I met with an advisor I was told with my GPAs and test scores combined retaking is not needed and its really up to me. I did buy the mometrix book to study and may use it if I decide to test a second time. I see you are also considering the accelerated option, the advisor mentioned fewer applicant have a bachelors degrees so it is typically less competitive than full time generic and part time usually has the most applicants. I also think you should apply to both and decide when you are accepted.
