MDC Accelerated Nursing Pragram Fall 2021

Published

Hi,

I just got accepted to the accelerated nursing program at MDC and I wanted to connect with the students that also applied or got accepted there (or even students that finished the program). Everything is welcome... advises, recommendations, questions etc. I am very excited to start the program!

Hi!! Congratulations on your acceptance! I finished my HSC course this Spring, and applied to both the Accelerated and Generic FT program just a few days ago. I think I might prefer the generic program because the first semester of the Accelerated program is kinda intimidating.

When did you apply?

My GPA is on the lower 3.0 scale and I got a 86.7% on by TEAS.

Hi,

The accelerated program is intimidating but I feel like it will be rewarding when I finish with everything next year.

I applied early March. My GPA is 3.6 and I got a 76% on my TEAS.

I am currently trying to find scholarships. If I find any I’ll post it here.

Keep a positive mindset and everything will work out.

Thank you! I'm so happy, I just received my acceptance to both programs but I am still deciding which one to accept.

I sent an email with a few questions, but what I really want to know is if I choose my own class times/schedule.

Just got my acceptance. I haven’t decided which to do. I feel like the response date is VERY soon. I need more time to decide LOL

Congrats! YES! I agree. I have so many questions and it's such little time to decide. I might go with the Generic option, but I really hope I can choose my schedule or change campus.

Thank you! I will ? I hope they reply soon, I want to accept my seat already and start the process.

Did you accept your seat already? In complio, does it mention that the CPR certification has to be completed in person only, or do they accept online certifications?

I just spoke with them and they said our scheduling will be discussed at the orientation. We will work with our advisor and select the classes.

Does anyone have any time frame on when the other programs will announce acceptances? Honestly I was surprised to get the letter, considering they extended applications until June 1st.

I applied for all three programs, but thinking realistically, I prefer the generic full time.

Also do we need all the prereqs at the time of acceptance? What’s the deadline for the CPR, Heath exams, testing, etc?

Hey! Congrats! I just got my letter too and I applied on Saturday! way too fast! This is my backup choice. I prefer Generic FT and hoping hoping to get an email from them soon (like this week). Since once we accept, we cannot switch.
