Anyone trying for MDC RN program in Fall 2010??
Any takers for the part time program?
oh good. I read the new requirements and i was like oh no !!! this is my third time applying and now they changed everything ! but i guess that's good news. I'm reapplying to the lpn to rn program. Wish me luck guys !:)
good luck!!
but if all else fails, consider going to BCC. My friend got her LPN license in november, and applied for the may term at BCC (because she needed another science pre-req to take in jan), and she got in right away. She starts the LPN-RN program next week.
and if this is your third time applying, I would suggest you apply to BCC as a backup.
MDC rejected me 5 times, and I was very lucky someone told me about BCC.
just my the choice is ultimately yours, but if I was your friend, this is exactly what I would say to you;)
I am all done! I have been done since last December so I have just been enjoying days with no school. I was thinking of taking microbiology lab over the summer but I see how I feel. I cant believe I am really done with the pre-reqs. When I first considered going to school I thought there was soo much I needed to take and that it would take me forever to complete. I finished it all in one year but it was surely a sacrifice of time and sanity. It was all worth it and I realized how much I enjoyed the subject content.
Countdown to June/July...what have we gotten ourselves into??

I can answer that--Hell. I am finishing this summer with Micro and Human Growth and Development along with that general PC course. Taking them all online though (first time doing so many online). Last summer I took three courses in person during summer (including Chem and math) and I was going crazy. So I figured, maybe the online classes will make it more manageable. Who knows?
It's not so much stressing about whether I will get in or not, mainly I am just stressing about how I to deal with work and nursing school, or how to get around working while in school.
I heard the schedule is intense in that there are 2 days of school and 2 days of clinicals. The advisor told me to plan for a full day and for the day to start at 7:00 AM.
What are your GPAs, if you don't mind me asking?
I wish I did not have to work but if you find a way around that PLEASE tell us!! :-) I heard that it was intense also. I thought it would be a little more laid back since it takes almost 3 years to finish! I am trying to enjoy my Saturdays before they are gone for good. At least they offer a part time so you have the ability to work. MDC is one of the only schools that does so I am happy about that. Im at a 3.95 now and Im thinking I wont do summer school because my brain is tired.
