Yay! You got it! Isn't it really cool? I know the excitement and nerves you're feeling after seeing all that equipment! One set is to practice, one set is to test with, I think.
Well, I looked at all kinds of apps and I got theses (some are a bigger investment, like the nursing central, but the others are less money or are free):
Nursing Central
Mediquations
Medimath
Units
Quick MT
Hope this helps!:heartbeat
For those of you who got your Fundamentals syllabus, Can you please post the readings for the first week? I'm in sequence 2 and I havent received an email from my professor. Thanks
I'm seq 2 as well :)!
The syllabus is from Prof. Ponce. Most of the books we bought are for this class, but I think she only refers to the Fundies book when posting assignments, so Chapter 34 is listed for week one and says "Orientation, Principles of Asepsis, and Protective Precautions" - the chapter title is "Infection Protection and Control," so I guess it's the same thing. (In case you're wondering, chapter 37, 38 are for week 2; 47, 48, 15 week 3; 16-20 week 4). These are to set us up for clinicals I'm guessing.
On Eagles Wings,
so I went to buy my iPod Touch today (the 3rd generation for HIPAA issues) and the apple website says the iPod Touch has HD video!???? Ok, so big deal it doesn't have a camera. I'd think a video is worse?!
PLEASE help me understand. Is this incorrect advertising? I feel like I'm "missing" something. I texted my friend who has an iPod Touch and hers is a 2nd gen. with no camera and has only 8gb memory. Isn't that too little of memory?
ANY FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED.

This is a good comparison chart of the different generations of the iTouch. I don't really know about the gb, to tell the truth. I hope this helps somewhat :)

There's a couple that correspond to the textbooks. I think they are free with the code from the book but I forgot because I haven't used them yet.
The thing I recommend most is a flashcard app. They are not dry and boring like regular flashcards because you can add pictures and even sound files. Also, at least one of these apps (I think Mental Case) takes the cards you miss and then mixes them back in randomly. It does some kind of complicated algorithm, but in short it doesn't waste your time repeating the cards you already know. There are a bunch of these apps out there to choose from. The two I have used are:
BTW, I have 2nd gen iPod Touch 8GB and that is plenty of memory unless you have thousands of songs or a lot of movies. The only time I've even come close to the limit was when I downloaded 3 or more movies for a long airplane flight.
