Like to know which MD hospitals(good place to work) that are near the borders of PA & DE so I don't have to commute too far.

Well, there is Frederick Memorial Hosp that is close to the PA line (near Gettysburg) then you will need to travel aprox 2 hours to get to the DE line.
Thanks. But I'm looking for hospital near the eastern (Philly) part of PA & delaware.

Good news is you can claim exemption from MD state tax if you're PA or DE or WV or DC resident working in MD. IF you've not lived in MD for more than 183days during the year. Since i'm moving in August, i figured why not pay 3.07% to PA, no city tax like philly (so i get a break from my usual 4.5% city wage tax) and still work in MD. Now,ain't that sweet?!:wink2:

Sweet indeed. I'm surprised O'Malley hasn't started ending the tax reciprocity agreement with those states. But you have a slight mistake. Delaware is not on the list. Virginia is.
And Delaware is a big exception. If you live in Delaware and work in Maryland, you will have to file a Maryland tax return on that income. And the worst part is, the Maryland income tax rate is actually higher for out-of-state residents than it is for in-state residents. A real scam... but it is Maryland after all.

What about Christiana hospital in DE? Im not sure how far it is from PA but I have heard good things. Union Hospital is up that way too.
I have a friend who works at Cooper, in Camden, NJ. I think thats somewhat close to Philly. She works NICU there and absolutely loves it.

actually, i'm a resident of PA, not DE. so it really is sweet indeed. and believe i can claim something on my taxes if i move so many miles to a new place of work. I think WV is the one on the list, i don't think i saw virginia. All i care abou is that PA is on there and if i'm gonna be in MD for about 5months or less, Heck, i'm gonna pay taxes to PA.
