I just found out that I was accepted into MCPHS for spring of 09'. I am so excited and I can't wait to begin.

I am wondering if anyone else has been accepted or is applying!

Congratulations :up: to all who will start the program this spring!:yeah: I am too an aspiring nursing student currently finishing my pre-reqs at the Mount. I am planning to apply next year and hopefully will get accepted. Can someone tell me what are the requirements. To those who get accepted do they call you guys for the interview? How long do we have to wait to recieve the acceptance letter?

Tips and pointers pls? I am afraid that I would't be able to get in:cry:. I have a very good GPA on my pre-reqs (3.45).

Hi there! The program that we got into is the accelorated 16-month second bachelors degree. Do you have a BS/BA in any field?

Thanks for the quick response... I know it's 16-mo. Accelerated BSN program and I do have a Bachelor's degree in business.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if ANYONE is all set with aid/loans to start Jan 09 year? I didn't qualify for some aid and I emailed Lynn at the student aid center regarding getting loans but she never responded. Maybe she's swamped? Can anyone give me any info? I'm getting nervous!! :no: Thanks!

I also would like to know how much money I could get. I might have to wait another year to just save up money. Private loans can be also difficuly to get considering our economy. Banks are little bit leary to lend thier money. Plus, I heard there is not much help financially if you already have bachelor's degree. So we might wind up getting a private loans.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone found out any details about fin aid or loans yet? The process is so confusing!

Also, I'm doing my budget and how much I want to take out for my expenses at school..does anyone have an idea how much books will be for 4 semesters? :twocents::idea:

I wish I knew....I wish they would send us info on the costs and financial aid, etc...why are they waiting so long!??????

As an estimate, I would say a few hundred dollars per semester for books...then you have to think about a stethoscope, scrubs, and all that stuff, too! :eek:

Have you filled out the Stafford loan stuff yet?

Don't we have to have everything paid for by Dec 28?! What's taking soo long!!? :eek:

I don't know when we have to pay by, they haven't sent ANYTHING to me!!! I mean don't you think they would send the information so that people could figure out money and payments BEFORE it is time to pay!??? Where did you see that we had to pay by Dec 28? I never got that, I haven't even received a bill from them! Oh dear! :uhoh3:

I filled out the FAFSA in May before I was accepted to MCPHS but I did have the stuff sent to them....so I've been waiting to hear from them.

I am going to be in debt until I die...I already have like $70,000 from my other degree....dumb dumb dumb! I wish I realized I wanted to be a nurse before I did that!

Sorry! Didn't mean to freak you out. Actually I dont even know where I got the Dec 28 from lol. I've looked at everything mcphs has sent me and don't see dec 28 anywhere so I guess Im imagining things!:bugeyes:

Don't worry, tons of people are in debt from their undergrad. Ugh. I'm definately in debt too from my not knowing what I wanted to be when I grow up days!

Will post something asap if I receive anything from them!

I spoke with someone from the admissions office and they said that we would recieve the information about books and supplies at orientation. I was kind of shocked at that, because orientation is only a few days before the start of classes. It's going to be hard to come up with all the money for books and supplies in such a short period of time!

I am going to be in debt till I die also! But it's so worth it because I can't wait to start this program!

I'm hoping we at least recieve our financial aid stuff soon, so I can start figuring out how I am going to pay for everything.
