  1. Well, it looks like I am not the only one to be in debt until I die after all.:chuckle I believe it's a very good investment so I do not care if I owe tons of money for this program. I am too excited to start, I can't wait. Best of luck!
  2. I also would like to know how much money I could get. I might have to wait another year to just save up money. Private loans can be also difficuly to get considering our economy. Banks are little bit leary to lend thier money. Plus, I heard there is not much help financially if you already have bachelor's degree. So we might wind up getting a private loans. Goodluck!
  3. Hi catamounts303- I am too worried about securing loans in the future. I already have cc debts, i am afraid that this will also matters. Yes, I am going to their worcester campus but not until 2010. I am currently working on my requirements. I only have 2 pre-reqs left and I am planning to finish these by summer of 2009. Please let me know on how things work out on your part. I am very interested how much money they can lend us. best regards and good luck!
  4. wow! you mentioned there will be a lot of papers to write. I am not really good in writing papers. Suggestions please...m good in math and lab but not writing papers. I hated it! I wil be not working and just focus on this program. Hope you don't mind me asking how much total loans you owed until you graduated on this program.
  5. Hello everyone, I will be taking chemistry 1 and 2 summer of 2009. Originally, I was planning to take the course this fall but due to my trip outside the country i couldn't make it. So, I was wondering how hard is the the course? I want to know this ahead of time so i can make changes or not take it on the summer time. I will be taking chem 1 on summer 1 and chem 2 on summer 2. I know that summer classes are so intense because of the time. Do you guys think it's feasible to take this chem. 1 & 2 on the summer?
  6. Hi- I am curious to know if anyone take a accelerated BSN program and work full time at the same time. The school that I am planning to apply discourage their students to work full time. I don't think I can afford to not work at all. I have kids and bills to pay. Does anyone kow how much we can take out student loans a year? I need 50k a year to pay the school and household expenses. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi there! I am a CNA here in central MA. I get my certification from the Mount and it cost me around $700, book is included. Red Cross offered the course as well and I think the cost is also around $600-$700 and the book is included as well. The rate varies, where I work they paid more on their CNAs but you have more residents to take care. Rates are between $9-16/hr.
  8. Thanks for the quick response... I know it's 16-mo. Accelerated BSN program and I do have a Bachelor's degree in business.
  9. Hello everyone! Congratulations to all who will start the program this spring! I am too an aspiring nursing student currently finishing my pre-reqs at the Mount. I am planning to apply next year and hopefully will get accepted. Can someone tell me what are the requirements. To those who get accepted do they call you guys for the interview? How long do we have to wait to recieve the acceptance letter? Tips and pointers pls? I am afraid that I would't be able to get in:cry:. I have a very good GPA on my pre-reqs (3.45). Bless
  10. I am new to this board. It was shocking to me that there are new grad RN's can't land a job, i thought that it's easy to get a job as a nurse. I came from the Philippines and I know USA hires hundreds of nurses(maybe thousands) from my country a year.
  11. Central MA (leominster), 45 minutes and hour commute to Boston and 30 minutes to worcester. Homes are affordable.
