  5. I live in MA and am graduating RN school in May with an associates degree. Job market is brutal up here. I have heard I have a better shot of getting a new grad job in RI...any truth to this? Even if not I think it is probaly worth applying (everywhere!!). Does anyone have any names of hospitals, rehabs..etc on the MA/RI line? Thanks for any input you may have.
  6. You Rock! Thanks!!!! I ended up figuring #2 out on my own but #1 still threw me. *&^% nursing school we haven't even gone over grain conversions yet...leave it to nursing school to throw something in a test that you have not gone over yet...God Forbid if we were to get a 100%!! I already bought all of my NS books, Tabers, Drug guide etc... NOW I have people saying to me.. Why did you do that? You should of bought a PDA system and you would have all of the books at your fingers tips instead of flipping through books all day long. Here's my Q...If I were to buy a PDA (looking at Palm TX) How do I get the books onto it? Do I have to rebuy them on CD to be able to download them? ***Very tech challenged in case you haven't noticed*** Also for those of you who do have one can you tell me "how" you use it. Here is how I am thinking it will help me...instead of having 50 million papers in my pockets to write down vitals, etc I can just write them on a word/note document on the PDA. If I don't know the definition of a word the RN uses I can click on Tabers type in the word and there it is. For Meds and Labs I can click on those books type in the med or lab (BUN) and it will give me all the info I need right there. Am I right? Anyone have the Palm TX? If I charge it will it last 8hrs for my clinical? I would love your .
  9. Ours is exactly like yours....
  10. thanks for the reply...i am talking about only nursing courses. i have finished all my pre-req and my gpa was a 3.98. i did great. this is the 1st timei got a c on anything (paper/exam/homework) since i have been in school. i knew i would sail through nursing couses like i did in my pre-reqs but it actually see the c+ on my exam really hit me hard. from what other have said c=rn. i am "hoping" that now i know how they test so i will do better next time. i know i knew all the content...it was the test that through me. i have been studing more test q's this time around and bought the saunders nclex review book lots of people on here have recommended. so i am going to pray that it will help on my next exam. wish me luck!
  11. Any of you almost at the end of NS ever get only C's all the way through?? I have had only 1 test so far and studying my butt off and only ended up with a C+. I have no self confidence in myself, never have, so I am already preparing myself for flunking out, and looking into what bartender schools are around me.... I know...I have to change my attitude or else I "will" flunk out. Everyone says you passed! That is great. Well I think is really S&*#s! So is there any one out there that has only gotten C's and can give me some incouragement? I really need it right now...
  12. i just knew in my heart that i was going to fail out because i got a 79 instead of an 80. omg!! how funny. on my first test i thought i got a 78 and was devastated. then i actually ended up with a 79 and felt sooo much better. what a nut i am... and i know that if i got an 80 i would of been so proud of myself. glad i am not the only one who feels like a 78/79 is the end of their nursing career.
  13. Awesome. Thank you! I pretty much study the same way but I read the chapter the night before we discuss it in class, so I have an idea of what we are talking about. But then I don't reread the chapter while I am rewriting my notes from the pp presentations. Maybe I should?? Since you get A's I value your opinion (or anyones). What do you think is better before or after the lecture to read the Chapter??
  14. What was the name of the book you got?
