hi guys, just wondering if anybody can give some tips or advice for mcc's hesi entrance exam. also do you guys know how many questions there are in the whole test and/or each section? and do you think a 95 on the hesi and a great GPA is a shoe in already? any other info would bre great, thank you much!!
No, but someone on another post here sd that was their score. But yeah, this is a great way to speculate if you got in. If you look back at the bottom five scores over the past 4 years or so (2 yrs ago scores were not avg), they are pretty consistent.
Where last years based on 120 accepted or 160? If it was 120 then the 40 extra slots should be able to lower it even further than 93.5?
I just recieved the average for my room, and there was at least 26 people in it..... 81.75. greent52389 I took my test yesterday at 9 am, room 115, what room where you in? It might be the same room but I know that 4 people did not show up because the teacher said he was missing that many, but the way I figured it there were at least 5 rows with 3 seats on each side for a total of 15 per side minus the 4, so it seems like around 26.
I was in room 130. what was the average for the room you took it in? I know there was no more than 20 people, if that many, in room 130, six people didn't show up, btw.
I think the avg. we all need is the overall avg.of all the tests taken. Although the classroom averages are very interesting. Does anyone know where we might get a total avg. I believe HESI testing is over, isn't it?
I looked all over the website where I got my classroom's average score and I could not find scores for all test dates....maybe when its all over but I doubt it
All the testing was done yesterday, anyone want to call the learning center and ask?...lol.
I made a post for everyone to post their classroom averages in on the board. You do not think that people not showing up would bring the averages down? I know I had an online class that when someone did not turn in an assignment for some reason it brought the class average down on that one assignment as an overall. I'm sure I am stretching on this but you never know...lol.
Okay next I called the maker of the HESI, the customer service on the website we were given to access our scores. They said the average is based only on the students present in each room, and the missing students were not included in the overall classroom score. They also said that they do not provide an overall to the college of all students that took the test (all 1000). So if there is an overall average out there the only way it was done is if MCC itself added them all together and averaged it out. So....I guess we will never know.
FYI,Test scores are also good for 5 years. Some people could have better scores from previous years.
I would think that a lot of people that did not get in last time would have repeated the test again to get a higher score to have a better chance to get in unless their GPA was the problem last time, or they were trying for the additional spots. I know that if I do not get in I will be taking the test again next year.
