Hello everyone!
I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.
Thanx I'm going to call them tomorrow. To see how far they have made it on the alternative. List yet... hopefully at least 5 I'm just nervous man like I said Oscar if I'm the last alternative to make the cut I read somewhere that someone was alternative like 37 and they waited n waited n they only made it to the 30th alternativery if history repeats itself then I have a good chance of making the cut as a alternative. See any alternatives at our orientation.

Just wondering if you ended up calling and what they said?
I called the other day and they had said "as of now, no one has declined their spot and they have not called any alternates". She could have been just saying that so people arent calling everyday. Just wondering if you got a different answer lol.
nope didnt end up calling yet. and i kinda find it hard to beleive that no one not one single person didnt choose another program or another school because more then likely if they made the cut here they made the cut at any other school they applied too. and someone on here wrtote their friend was accepted but they are going to go to another school so i know that is atleast one person down off the alternative list. I think they just said that to prevent people going hectic i work here on campus and you would be suprised at all the things they do to not be annoyed by the public lol. But see alternatives in a few...
Yes got my letter June 29th I am an October start. They changed a lot this year they said they will no longer give us our ranking but they asked us in the meeting to send an email in if we didn't want an August start and I wanted October so it worked out for me besides highly doubt I would've ranked August anyway with a 3.72/90 although I do have ALL of my pre req and co req classes complete plus some of my classes toward my for BSN but those that they officially ranked for August could be moved to their preferred start time if they wanted... When was your start date and when do you graduate?
Anyone who has taken the hesi, Is there algebra on the test ? & on the calculator is there a multiplication & division button on it. I've heard all types of different answers.
I took the HESI this past January and can not really recall any algebra being on the test. If there was, then it was pretty straight forward. I highly recommend prepping with the HESI Admission Assessment book by Elsevier, it contains a review of all the sections you will be tested on. The math section was mainly conversions (decimals to fractions & vice versa, metric conversions such as mL to L, percentages to decimals & vice versa). Simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and a few story problems were also a part of math. The whole test is multiple choice with the exception of a few fill in the blank answers for the math portion. You are able to use a calculator that is provided on the computer. It is the same basic calculator every computer comes equipped with, so yes, it does have a multiplication and division button.

@ninaaplz, yes you can only use the calculator that is provided on the computer.
Good luck to you both applying to your program!
