MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

I was very disappointed in myself too. I still am. I feel you on that. I Just try to remember i did my best. But that stuff was so random. My scores sucked for reading comprehension..it seemed so simple. Math, i thought sure shot 95-100%..nope 88%. Very annoying and unpredictable for me. Kinda messes with my head.

Yes! I got 90% on everything besides A&P and Reading comprehension. I did terrible on reading comprehension. I did it last, and maybe that was my first mistake, because I was exhausted. I just thought some of the questions and answers for that were bogus.

It was my first time taking it and i honestly didn't think it was going to be as tricky as it was. I studied every day for like a whole week before my exam but my score didn't turn out to be in my favor. I was so upset when i saw 84.4%. I went to my car, called my boyfriend and cried. Lol i felt so dumb. I did the worst on my grammar which surprised me. Math and reading comprehension were my highest (92% and 90%). Vocab and a&p were both 80%. Grammar was 76% :eek::thumbdown:

If this years averages are the same is last year then we will all be celebrating very soon!

Hey, just added this thread. Applying for 2015. 3.85 GPA and 88 on HESI. Took the A&P in the summer got an A..yes, it's possible! Just put in my application last week. Can't wait until May! :) Taking my gym credit and comparative religions this semester. Good luck everyone!

I did reading compression first, clear minded... I don't know what happened. Bogus, i agree. Or just tricky for my brain. So annoying.

Nattt I think I know who you are! It's Jessica. We were going to take our gym credit together, but I decided to take 18 credits instead. Ugh.

And 5555, it definitely was tricky for me. The questions could have been interpreted differently in my opinion. The answers that were given for me didn't match up a lot of the times. Either that, or I just suck at reading comprehension. I wasn't sure how to study for that one.

Exactly, they could be interpreted in different ways that seemed unimportant. That's how I feel, I guess i suck at reading comprehension:/ i got 50 something percent on the summary section of the reading comp. At least that isn't something we're tested on in the program I'm sure.

Lol I got 70% overall! I was doing so well and then that dropped my average down 3 percent.
