Hello everyone!
I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.
Now the one thing I have to note is that in technicality, would there be a better chance this year for people with a lower hesi or gpa score since this year there were less students applying for the nursing program and for the fact that the majority of the hesi groups average were low 80's? Now I know obviously we won't know the exact amount of people that have applied to the program but my counselor did say there was definitely less people applying this year (Also the lower average hesi scores won't necessarily matter if those individuals had a higher gpa but still!) So in my mind=Less people, less competition. I'm freaking out that I don't really have high solid scores (gpa=3.7 + hesi=84) but if last year's 140th student had close to my current scores (which i believe was a gpa of 3.56 and hesi of 85) then theoretically there may be a good chance that the lower scores could still be safe...to a point. Right? I may be going completely off track and trying to make any possible best circumstance out of the situation but this is just my idea of what we can hold in our minds that we may have a darn good chance!

@mperczi that's why I'm convinced that the HESI weighs more than the GPA in our ranking.
