MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

Jessica, some do make sense others dont. My friend that ranked 159 was 3.8 and 82 HESI, and some girls had lower averages and still got in ranked before her. btw she applied 2014 and is starting in march this year.

Im just freaking out for no reason there is still a while until we get the letters. Ill have to calm down and be patient.

I hate that we have to wait so long. If it's all computer generated then why does it take 3 months? I think about it every day and it makes me so nervous and i freak out too! I took a&p, micro and intro all together last semester just so i could apply this year. I would be so proud of myself if i could be graduated from this program at 22.

Ok so here's a quote I saw today to lighten the mood, while we await our fates. It made me laugh so I hope it does the same for all of you...of course I better put a disclaimer: hope no one is offended...P.S I have hypothyroidism and thought it was hilarious:

"I saw a woman wearing a sweatshirt with Guess on it. I said, Thyroid problem?" - Arnold Schwarzenegger

So I just went to speak with a counselor at MCC and she did confirm "This year the number of students signed up for the HESI was much lower than the past years"

Seeeeee, that should be a good sign!

Maybe only 160 people will apply and we'll all get in! Haha wishful thinking..

Lol awesome for us but also scary that the people who didn't work as hard as us would also get in lol.

I just thought about how there may be a chance that applicants who didn't get in last year are applying again this year with their same HESI score from last year or any other year prior... So just because there weren't as many people who signed up for the HESI this year may not mean less applicants :grumpy:

I hope it isn't true...

Well I do know one student that didnt retake it because she got a 94% last year but the rest retook it this year:sneaky:

Did she not get in last year with the 94?
