MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

This is my second time taking this test and I got a b+ in AnP over the summer I have been reviewing systems since summer and I'm still guessing on questions ... Its so random and there is so much you can ask about the body. ... My 2nd try and I'm still nervous as EVER good luk to everyone testing in the morning !

You will be okay! God bless you!! Never give up!

Hi i'm Kaitlyn and i will be applying with a 3.65 gpa and a HESI score of 84.4%. I know i am probably not likely to get in this year due to a lower gpa and a dissapointing HESI score but if someone could reassure me that it is a possibility i might feel a little bit better. It seems like everyone on this forum has a 3.9 gpa and a 90%+ HESI score so now i am even more discouraged.

I got 84.4 on my Hesi today. Hopefully my 4.0 will help me get in.

Just finished the Hesi and feeling relieved. I was able to raise it from last year! It looks like I'll be applying with a 3.92 GPA and 91 hesi. Good luck to everyone applying!

Last year 3.65 gpa and 84 hesi (same as you) ended up being alternate #2, and alternate #2 always gets in! You have a chance!

I had the same score last year! I started in October :)

He is right!

Thank you @lonnie_s for that information.

I was expecting to get a much higher score today on my HESI. I did the worst on the grammar section(76%), no clue how that happened but it is what it is I suppose. It may have been because I did it last and was exhausted at that point. Math was my highest score at 92%. I'm really hoping and praying to get into the program on my first try. April needs to hurry up! I hope to see other people post their scores so that I can try to see where exactly I stand compared my fellow applicants. :)

It gives me hope. THANKS!

Was today the last testing day?

Nope I don't test until Thursday but I don't think anyone else on this forum is taking the test thurs ...
