MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

Hey Kristi, I just signed up on this website and i'm taking the hesi on jan 6th I was wondering if you could tell me what subjects were on the A&P portion and how you studied for the grammar?!

Any other hesi takers want to share their scores? Congrats to all who got a good score, one of my friends friend got a 72 which really scares me

For those who have took the Hesi & are studying which edition of the book do you recommend? I have the 2nd edition. Not sure if I should get the 3rd.

I have third edition and thats what im studying from probally not that big of diffrence between 2nd n 3rd

The subjects are so broad in the A & P portion, I honestly can't remember.

The study guide is a good resource for studying grammar.. i bought mine several years ago, I think it's probably the first edition.

The best advice I can give is be diligent.. as soon as the semester ended all I did was study and work.. you can never be to prepared.

Kristy, from the friends or people in general from your classes that you spoke to, what are their gpa ranges? Btw, you will get in 100% :)

Kristi I have been following your post since last yr although I know you would had liked to get in on the first try… .. Seeing how you NEVER gave up has been such an inspiration to me… just thought u should know

I'll be applying with a 3.92 GPA this year and am taking the HESI on the 6th. I took the hesi last year and got a 86 so I'm really hoping I can do better this time. If not, I'm pretty sure they will take the highest score. I've been studying a lot and I got a prep book from barnes & noble called: 3 evolve reach (HESI) A2 practice tests. It's a really great book and it has 3 mock tests inside. I took the first test today and didn't do as well as I hoped too at all D': :(:(
