MCC nursing applicants for 2015

U.S.A. Michigan

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

what were the last 5 scores of this yeaR?

Does any one want yo form a study group for the hesi this semester ??? If so let me know good job to all of u who got As I know AnP is beyond stressful in the summer time but if u want it youll get it ... please let me know ASAP if anyone wants to study

What day are you taking your hesi

What do you need help with Sarah? If I were you I would make full use of the learning center. The tutors there are extremely helpful and it's nice to have the practice models.

I'm interested in studying for the Hesi, but I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm not taking the micro class anymore. I'm still taking intro to nursing and nutrition, but I have decided I'm going to pursue my bsn straight away instead of my associate degree at Macomb. I have done some personal reflexion and just think it is the right path for me.

Do you know if we have to take a certain amount of credits before even applying to program, aside from prereqs you know how some schools say you must take like 15credits at there school in order to continue on ? Bc I'd be transferring from another school as well ??

Ok, I just spoke to someone. It's not required, just recommended. I'm going to call back tomorrow and register for one. There are a lot of them coming up. It's just difficult to schedule extra stuff between work and the kids and everything else. I can't wait to quit my job!

I'll probably try to go to one in October.

@GiveMeTheCoffee, I was going to do that also, but I did self reflection as well and this was the best option for me so I can work as an RN while being able to get my BSN. There's so many RN-BSN programs. Best of luck to you!

@jesster that's the best option for me as well hi everyone haven't been n on here in a whileeee but I decided to hold off studying until Nov because its a lot of material to cover and I don't want to forget anything I know I got a 84% and I only studied all of 10days last yr so starting in nov this yr should get me too a 90%or better also retook English and as of now I'm in top 97%of my class OK hope all is well for everyone else let me know how your classes are going

Did you have to take a certain amount of credits at mccc before applying? I'd be transferring all my credits from wayne county & taking intro to nursing at macomb
