Mayo Clinic Phoenix RN Residency Summer 2021

Hello! I wanted to start a thread for the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency, Phoenix, AZ for July 2021. I figured we could share when we see the job posting and when interviews begin. I'm excited to graduate and start working ? 

@RN2B-izzy congrat that great news yeah I still didn’t have a call since so fingers crossed. Did you put a recommendation letter and a cover letter? Also did you do clinical with them?

Hopefully you will get a call this coming week. I found it rather odd myself to get a call on a Saturday so hopefully everyone's phone rings this coming week. I just wanted to let everyone know that they've started calling people since I know everyone is anxious and wants to know. 

Yes, I absolutely had a cover letter and included two letters of recommendation. I was also very thorough in my resume as well. I did not do clinicals with them, but nursing is not my first career (prior degree in healthcare administration) so I do have a bit of experience in the healthcare realm. 

If you would like more information on what Mayo looks for with the application process you should go to the "Mayo Clinic Jobs" facebook page. There is a video posted October 22, 2019 titled "Mayo Clinic Nursing Career Opportunities" which describes what they look for in the resume and application process, as well as talk about other pertinent things, etc. This is where I obtained information for myself and I recommend it for anybody who wants to apply in the future.

That’s awesome, congratulations!! It’s pretty encouraging to hear that that they’re beginning to call, I’ve kept my phone on 24/7 to make sure I don’t miss anything from them LOL. Does your application still say under review or did you move on to step 3? Fingers crossed we get responses early next week! And thank you so much for the information as well.

@Abe23 My application still says "in review." It will stay that way until I call on Monday to set up an interview. The placement coordinator will then switch my app to "interview" and I will get a confirmation email with the date/time of my interview in it. Hope this helps!

Awesome, thank you!! I’m also from out of state looking to relocate to AZ. Mayo is my top choice but I applied to Banner Healths nurse Residency as a backup and was lucky enough to hear back from them to schedule  an interview. Do you have any insight on Mayos interview process in terms of common questions asked, length of time, etc?

Congrats on the interview! What are the dates for the interviews? Have you graduated yet? I'm out of state and don't graduate until May so I'm worried I'm not a strong candidate for this application period ?
