Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency AZ July 2022

Hey everyone! I am making this thread for people who are interested in applying for the nurse residency program at Mayo in Arizona! I haven't seen anyone make one yet for the July 2022 cohort so if you're interested in applying, this thread is for you! Hopefully we can keep each other updated on the process ?

If they're emailing rejection letters, I bet they'll start calling applicants who've made it to the next stage - be on the look-out for AZ calls even if unrecognized (usually area code 480 or 602 but I'm kinda old) and check your spam for voicemails too.

Thank you for the input! Sorry I just wanted to clarify - are you saying that they are sending rejection letters today or calling the ones that are making it on to the next stage?

Hi Nurse Mia! Congrats on passing your NCLEX, that is so exciting! Did your application status change on the Mayo application portal? I've been checking it like crazy to see if it changes from "application in review". Wishing you the best in your nursing career, you will do great things!

It's just an unofficial, educated guess, sorry just trying to share any info I receive and be as helpful as I can

Yep the "no longer being considered" status is currently staring me in the face:)

Oh shoot, I’m sorry to hear about the rejection! I hope you are able to take some time with other interviews and find a place that you love!! I’m definitely starting to feel anxious to hear back since I submitted my video recording almost three weeks ago. Has anyone else heard anything, whether it’s a rejection or interview request? How long did it take to hear back?

Just got a call for a second interview. It's from a 480 number so watch out for it today :) Goodluck everyone!

Congrats, that's so exciting! Did they ask any questions on the call? or is it just setting up the date for the second interview?

I also just scheduled an interview!! They asked me what area I am interested in based off my practicum and internship ?

I said I was interested in Oncology and she just said “okay great!” But didn’t officially say what unit so maybe they just keep it in mind?

Yay! Congrats everyone! May I ask what unit y’all are applying to? Also, is everyone local in AZ? And are y’all still in school or have your RN license?
