Hey everyone! I am making this thread for people who are interested in applying for the nurse residency program at Mayo in Arizona! I haven't seen anyone make one yet for the July 2022 cohort so if you're interested in applying, this thread is for you! Hopefully we can keep each other updated on the process ?

I finished the video assessment. I didn't *love* the experience just bc I personally am not great at talking to myself on a screen without human interaction/conversation. There are 7 behavioral type interview questions ("Describe a situation in which...") and 1 priority nursey question. You have one min to look at the question, it automatically starts video recording after 1min, and then you have 4 mins to answer (screen timer counts down, automatically stops recording after 4 mins but you can stop recording before that if you're finished early). You have ONE chance to record, you can't redo a recording, it will prompt you to move on to the next question while the video uploads in the background.
Test your equipment before the assessment, I ran into some microphone/audio issues on my end but it was better when I enunciated more clearly and slowed down.
It's really not that bad! I've just never done an interview like this before without a person present, so it was a process I had to adapt to/get out of my comfort zone.
Good luck:)
@mcnurse715 wow! Thank you so much for that information!! I might just have enough confidence to do it today now ?

I did the video assessment and submitted it mar 14, have not heard anything but never reached out
Received my RN license (yay) and Mayo rejection /you're good but not good enough/ email within an hour of each other -_-
If they're emailing rejection letters, I bet they'll start calling applicants who've made it to the next stage - be on the look-out for AZ calls even if unrecognized (usually area code 480 or 602 but I'm kinda old) and check your spam for voicemails too.
Good luck to all! Wishing you the very best:)
