May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....

im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

after exactly 1 week and 6 days, i was in front of the pc.. browsing.. when i heard arvine calling to my dad "dy, board of regstered nursing" omg my heart jumped then and there! tension was all over the place.. not one of them can open the letter.. so i walk up to them and get the letter. tita elsa sit beside me when i was opening it.it took me about 20-25 seconds to open it ... heheh, i was so nervous then.. when i read the letter: "this is notification that you have passed the nclex_rn exam." woot woot! we all jumped! then each of them hugged me & kissed me.. i go tearsfalling from my eyes.. now all nursing tests are over.(i got a bit emotional there since this was quite a very pressuring journey for me, from finishing my bsn degree, passing the local boards in the philippines last year, then the ielts and now i also conquered nclex! it felt good! its over and i get over them all in one take.,! im so happy to be able to make my parents, fmily and friedns proud.

......thank you everyone for the prayers! : "baboy"(my beau), my family and relatives, baboy's family, bests, sizis, ppg,dormates, kaplan makati buddies, elementary classmates, acquaintances, friends of friends!

woooooooooo!!! i passed!! i'm a rn!!! i got 96 questions! i was sure i failed!! but i passed!! woooooo!! thanks to everyone for all the support! yaaaaaaaay!! :nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse:

thank you. i tried checking the bon site since day after my exam.. but i got hopeless of checking in there everysingle day since i dont have an ss#, my name wont probably appear on the site yet. so i decided to just wait for the letter. we werent expecting it to come yesterday.. stil im glad it does.. and the waiting is all over. im so happy to finally be a usrn. :)

my exam stopped at item 75. the questions are mostly sata, some computations of dopa and dobu.. infection control, and prioritization. i answered them as if i was just reviewing. i didnt think hard much , it seems that the answers were all on the top of my head. thats why im confused if i passed or not. but hey i did pass. kaplan and ncsbn must be a good training.. it work for me:) thank god!

well im still waiting. i stopped checking the site since yesterday. it makes me more depressed checking on it everyday. i had a unique name really, from the first to the last name. i don't even have the same surname of licensed rn here on us.--just outside--only one my cousin--. really rare. that's why whenever i checked there's this "no records returned" keep popping on my computer screen. guess i'll just wait for the mail. im going out tomorrow and apply for work. since i want to be productive while waiting. honestly..i've been depressed lately..not knowing it, just realized last night. and my eyes were just tired--really a dreadful week. i just want to let it go..and no matter what happens life goes on. no matter what the result will be--i'll try to understand the reason why certain things happen. but still of course..im praying for the may momentum..and you're right most of us here are "nth nclex test takers" ..im just glad..there's no day our thread wasn't filled out with "i passed"--feels good!

You hold your head high !, if you have to test again--you do that. i know whats its like to what feels like a 30 mile marathon....so very tired at the end., with the finish line just ahead..--

i know exactly how you are feeling,

please believe me, when you DO pass, and you WILL--ALL that pain, sorrow, depression--it goes away almost instantly.-its a feeling ONLY re-test takers feel.--no offense to people who pass on their first attempt, but us re-takers-who have lived with the depression of failing and having to face our families and friends-and having to start all over again

we are in a seperate "boat", that they will never understand. BUT, when we do pass--the reward / feeling (in my opinion) is SOOOO much more intense !--

I will come in here everyday until you pass-to encourage you on--

you, GWAFU , mytonezucs, and others who encouraged me in my darkest hours-and motivated me.

--the other day someone from my class who passed their test the first time was talking to another friend of mine about the NCLEX and pass rates. The one freind who passed said "if you dont pass on the first attempt you really are an idiot"

Let me tell you--I had a few choice words for this person.

You know, if YOU really think about it.

getting your liscense is the easy part---i know it seems so ahrd now, but look at the whole 30 year carrer you will have.

the important part is NOT how you got your liscense (# of tests etc)

the REAL part is KEEPING your liscense (not hurting anybody, making mistakes)

and WHAT YOU DO WITH IT--are you that nurse ratchet who really doesnt care about people or are you that nurse that spends that extra 10 minutes with a crying pt even though you are waaaayyyy behind in your charting, meds, etc...

I will never be know as the "3rd time NCLEX nurse taker"

I WILL be known as a "great pt care provider and advocate"

that was some real inspiring advice you just gave. :D i completely agree with you. the number of tests doesn't determine what type of nurse you will be. its what you do with your that license that does.
