I have applied to the weekend and evening college at Maryville for Fall 2014. I am hoping to meet other prospective candidates so we can talk, get to know each other and support each other through this journey.

I got in!!! nwayne, so sorry to hear, but at least you have a back-up plan. Goldfarb is a good school!

Let me know what we need to do!!! nwayne, Goldfarb is an awesome school, I have a friend that goes there now :) mclavin, I got a phone call but I was called very early (my adviser said I was only the second call he made) so maybe that just haven't called you yet!!

I got a call last night and my advisor left me a message to call her. I didn't actually get ahold of her until this morning around 10am with the official word. I have my fingers crossed for you mcalvin!

ant2cory - I have friends who have gone through nursing school that used FB groups to communicate outside the classroom, ask homework questions, etc. It seems so useful! Obviously our class will be decent sized, I think it's 64 students, but maybe if in the next few weeks we set up a FB group and just start adding the people that we know, soon enough we'll have a decent amount in there that way we can start to get to know one another.

Anyone planning to enroll in one or both of the summer nursing courses? I may try to take NURS 200 the first half of the summer semester just to get it out of the way. Did anyone's advisor tell them exactly when the orientation will be?

Treeee, let's set up that FB group!!!! I've used them before and LOVE them!! They are great and I'd love to get to know people before we start :) When you say summer, do you mean this summer (before we start??) If you do, I didn't know that was an option. My advisor told me all the info about orientation would be in the nursing packet that is coming. There will be a separate letter to say we are accepted and then a nursing packet too. It will tell us what classes we take, how to sign up and a whole bunch of other info we will need! I can't wait to get it!!

Mcalvin - my advisor told me a few months ago that MANY people from the waitlist make it in. Family obligations/"real world" problems pop up and people have to hold off afterall, money becomes an issue, also she said after the orientation a lot of people decide it's too much and they drop their spot. Please keep us updated and let us know if/when you hear anything!

ant2cory - I can't send private messages yet and I don't know if it will let me post my real name on here....... not sure how we can find one another on fb! Can you pm?
