I talked to the Grand Canyon Advisor at Glendale Community, he told me that my scores are good and should apply. When I talked to the Glendale Community advisor they told me they do not accept plus or minus grades which lowered my GPA immensely. I'm trying not to get discouraged but as it stands right now my GPA for GCU is 3.28 and Maricopa sees it as a 2.88. I took the HESI exam and received an 88% Eng and 94% Math, which I am retaking to raise my Eng score. Even with that, my Maricopa score will only reach 79/80. My question is how do the two schools communicate on something like this? Also, I am active duty military, I heard that they usually hold seats for the military, does anyone know if this is true?

I work in hospital and they love to hire CNAs within who go to school or they will seek out volunteers as well. I know you don't need either one of these but I believe if you have time why not better your chances later on and see a little more into the hospital if that is somewhere you want to work I believe nursing homes have volunteers too. Good luck sounds like you will do great!
I absolutely agree with this - many of my classmates who were CNAs essentially walked right into jobs on the same unit once they passed NCLEX. It really helps to build those relationships, plus you have already proven yourself workwise (hopefully). Volunteering is great too!
Turning in my CEP application:
I did my maricopa nursing traditional application back in August 2019. I asked Maria at CGCC what else I would need to bring in when I apply for the CEP program. She said to bring the declaration, cep application, and the unofficial transcripts of the rest of the classes I took to complete the application.
I turned it in on December 13 ish.
Someone said they turned the unofficial transcripts for all their classes again?
I am applying to the asu / cep program. I had taken a couple courses at asu in spring 2019 and the rest of my cep classes I took at cgcc. did asu need a copy of transcripts they already had from me? IDK.
I also NEVER received an email saying my application was not submitted so I think I am ok.
I know a girl who got an email saying she couldnt move forward because her application was not right.
Also, I believe Maria wouldve told me if my application was not complete.

I also picked morning for MCC as first choice. Fits better with my schedule and my brain works better in the morning while I’m still fresh. Hahah
Does anyone know how the HESI scores are taken for the application if you have taken it more than once? The first time I took it I did better in English and the second one much better in math. Will they take the highest english score and the highest math score or will they only base it off of one test, assuming which ever gives you the most advantage?

I emailed mcc and here is what she said. It stinks but I guess they have to make it a task more competitive
